  • Useful, but annoying

I love the idea of this app, but the implementation is poor.

TLDR: Free version is worth free, pro version is horrible

    Pros:

    -Cool sound effects for D&D
    -Wide selection

    Cons:

-Poor sorting making it difficult to transition from one music/ambiance to the next
-A healthy chunk of the looped sounds you can definitely hear the end of the loop to where it’s unusable without being cringey
-I paid for the pro version of the app and it keeps locking me back to the free version and wants me to pay again.
-When pro version is working, one of the things that I bought the pro version for was for the sound to continue after leaving the app so I could open my notes while the music plays, that feature has never worked for me and it’s very frustrating.

All in all, for the free version, give it a shot, but definitely do not pay for the pro version as it’s super buggy.

  • Love this app but...

I think this app is an awesome innovative tool for dms, and I think it’s great for DMS using an iPad, and would be even better, if only it supported landscape mode. It’s just irksome to have to hold the iPad to read and put on effects while playing particularly since my case has a stand but only in landscape mode.

Would love to see that added❤️

  • Great app

This app is great. The stock sounds cover pretty much everything you’ll ever need.

One thing that could take this from good to great would be allowing the user to rename a playlist, and also some kind of “play all” button for playlists. I like to use the playlists to save atmospheres + music that go well together, so if i could just hit “play all” from the playlist screen that’d let me use the app quicker while running a game.

  • Just one more thing

I am very satisfied with this app and use it in most D&D sessions. I use the free version so I don’t get all the features I’d like but know they are available, I would get the full version if it was easier to add “custom” soundtrack. My DMing style requires soundtrack from various existing sources but I don’t want to go through the trouble of downloading music from my laptop every time I add a new song or sound effect. Basically what I am asking for is a way to import songs directly from the music app on my iphone to this app without another step in between. Other then that 👍👍

  • I love this app

This is a great app. I like the variety of sounds, and the ability to set up playlists (when you upgrade to pro.) I wish you could rename the playlists. Hoping for this in an update. But the app is great and works well.
  • Blown Away !!

This app is WAY cooler than at first glance and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase ! This will enhance gameplay of ANY role playing game and even gives you the ability to import your own music files to layer into the experience. AWESOME JOB ! 👍🏻
  • Dnd 5 stars as a dm

I generally don’t buy apps. Nor do I review them. But as a DM, my players absolutely love when I use sounds. Free version definitely does a lot, but the paid version is perfect with custom playlists. I can separate them based encounter/town/map etc. I love this app and it helps make my adventures so much more fun for myself as well as my friends.

  • TL;DR Great for iPhone, not so much for iPad Pro

I’ve had this app for about 10 months on my iPhone and have used it A LOT while DMing a campaign with my friends. I love the variety of sounds and the ability of use my own music is nice too, I haven’t upgraded to pro yet (will explain why below) but love the set of features listed. I just wish there was better iPad Pro support.

I just recently got a 10.5” iPad Pro and thought this would be a great chance to upgrade to pro. That way I could use RPG Fantasy as the slide over app, allowing me to quickly change the ambiance and then hide the app so I can use other DM apps in landscape split view. Unfortunately, I discovered this app only supports portrait mode. No landscape, no split view, no slide over. Because of this, I don’t think I’ll upgrade to pro. Even with how great this was on iPhone, I don’t want to use more than one device behind my DM screen–just a matter of personal preference.

I know programming takes time and money, and iPad Pro users are probably a small/almost nonexistent user base. Thus, these features are not priority. If landscape/split view/slide over features were added this app would be PERFECT for all use cases, and purchasing pro version would be definitely recommended.

  • Wonderful and Very Useful!

This app really has so many useful sounds and effects for adding a great atmosphere to any game! The paid version is also pretty useful and I highly recommend it!
  • ALMOST everything I could want

I love that this app can play ambience, music and sound effects at the same time. Exactly what I need! However, I have many, many more sound effects and music files I use, so I added them to the app - only to find out you can’t move them out of the custom folder! Meaning I can’t add new ambience, music or battle/magic/etc sound effects. All my imported sounds stay in the custom folder - meaning they’re all jumbled together and cut each other off.

This app is so close to being useful to me! Please let me move my sounds from the custom category to the other categories!
