Newest update is a joke
The app used to be so intuitive but the recent update with the constantly shifting block sizes is so frustrating and useless. Can’t get anything to look right. Had considered upgrading to a paid domain but won’t be after this. (Also, taking away free features and putting them behind a paywall is a cheap trick. Don’t think I haven’t noticed I can’t use custom colours anymore) Feeling like I may bite the bullet and switch to square space if this isn’t resolved

Great designing app, but can’t sell items
I’ve been trying to set up my website to start selling my products, and despite upgrading to the Pro plan specifically for access to payment features, nothing is working. The site recognizes that I’ve upgraded, but I still can’t set up payments or access the selling features that were advertised.
I’ve tried every troubleshooting step—clearing cache, refreshing, switching browsers, even testing different devices—and nothing resolves the issue. I’ve reached out to support multiple times, but I haven’t received any response, which is incredibly frustrating given that I’m paying for this service.
This issue is blocking me from launching my shop, and I’m losing valuable time and potential sales. I upgraded to Pro because I believed it would streamline the process, but it’s been nothing but delays and zero help from the support team. I need this fixed ASAP or guidance on what to do next—this is seriously impacting my business!

Horrible.
The app usually works pretty great. But when it glitches, it’s impossible to get help. They’ll respond to the first request, but no follow ups. Which means no solutions. Actually, one time, they did follow up. However, every reply was from a new person, they didn’t read the previous emails to get up to date on the issue, and my issue was never solved. Such a huge bummer to spend so much time building a website I love, paying $100 for a year, and now having to find a new platform to build my website on. I’m so throughly disappointed. Save yourself the grief and find another app to build your site on.

Great app, terrible customer service. Not worth the hassle if anything goes wrong nobody will return your emails.
The easiest builder ever!
Really cool and easy builder. I can build website on my phone, that’s sick!!! But there’s one thing- when I’m inside the themed template I can’t chose new designs for pages like in Canva for example.
AI ruined my website
Universe includes an innovative AI feature called GUS that ruined my website.
I was manually creating 2 different version of my website. For the first version I was doing all the work my hand. With the second website I decided to use GUS to design the website.
After playing with GUS for a while I realized that while it could give me a general webpage, it also had issues making modifications. It also crashed frequently and sometimes wouldn’t save the changes I had made. It also would sort of glitch out when I would reopen pages to edit them.
I decided to delete my website that was generated by GUS.
This is where my problem started. When I opened the website I was making manually it was completely changed. GUS had apparently been updating BOTH sites without my knowledge and I could not undo any of the changes. More importantly when I made the manual changes to try and return it normal they would be changes again when I reopened the web page (GUS was making changes to it again).
I lost all of my work and decided this app has too many bugs and limitations for my purposes.
Keep in mind that while the app is slick, it if very limited in format. You can’t have a full horizontal website and the block design is unique, but really basic too.
I have requested a refund for my subscription.

Awesome app to use and very easy to make website but since im in Australia its not letting me sell please let australian residents abke to recieve payments in AUD thankyou
No Support. Other wise a simple but good solution
Universe is easy to use and you can build a website on an iPad. But there is no support. I’ve got a bug with loading images? And my domain provider isn’t on Universe’s list of domain provider. Help button doesn’t work so Emailed Universe as they advised and no email back. Have used Webflow in the past but it you need a laptop for webflow. Be cause of the lack of support I’ve bought a laptop. Yes, I’d recommend Universe, but check domain providers first and keep it simple. More than simple then Universe might not be for you. Personally get I’d recommend getting a laptop and thus Universe becomes a bit less appealing.

Amazing, and some features I would like to see in the future!
Universe is my go-to app to make websites and many more, I do think sometimes universe may be buggy at times, but I don’t mind it! But some buggy features that Universe should fix, is the loop block, sometimes the loop-block won’t auto-play, and it shows the play button, which is so annoying!! A Cool Feature Universe should make is a pop-up block, or something similar to that where the developer of the website could insert a text and design the pop-up and then the buyer or the user that’s using the website can exit from the pop-up. Although, that would be a hard feature, I hope to see it in the future!

Do not waste your money. App does not work and has ruined my website and business
Do not waste your money. App does not work properly. I have been a customer for almost years. the first two years, i thought this was one of the greatest apps. Then they made changes to the app that has proven to be catastrophic. I have had my domain changed to an unpaid account several times. I have been contacting their support but there is no one. just a bot. I would like to speak to the owner Joseph Cohen because he needs to understand what is happening to his company. It went from a one of the best apps to one of the worst. My company has taken a hit and so has my reputation. it’s embarrassing to have this happen where my domain name changes back and fourth. it looks like i’m not paying my bill even tho i paid a year in advance. This hurts a company because who could trust a company who doesn’t pay their bill and keeps changing their domain from the one it has been for 3 almost four years to a free plan. I’m really shocked and disappointed in a company I use to want to apart of because of how great their product was. I may never regain the public’s trust and if so it would take months to years. This has definitely hurt my company, even tho we been with this app for 4 almost 5 years. Its been several days and there is no one to fix the issue. I am left with one choice.
