  • App is confusing

We got Vernie so our six year old could start learning coding fundamentals. Unfortunately our four year old keeps breaking Vernie, which would be fine if we knew how to reassemble. Because there are no books, we have to use the app directions to rebuild. However, the app is so confusing to use that we can never find the directions. And when Vernie is rebuilt, we can hardly understand the various icon selections in the app and what they do. I wish there were words we could click on or simple directions. In my opinion it is not user friendly, and for that reason we simply don’t play with Vernie anymore. $160 toy we don’t use.

It's great to hear that you want to help your children understand coding at an early age. We understand that the app can take a bit to get used to it, but don't worry, we actually have the building instructions for Vernie as PDF that you can download and save. Over at LEGO.build/17101BI you can find the building instructions, download and save them. That should make rebuilding Vernie as bit easier for you. If you have trouble understanding the different coding bricks, you can also actually tap most of the bricks for a few seconds and you'll get a pop-up with an explanation. Hope this helps and your little builders and you can get back to coding asap 😊 - Gabriela, LEGO Customer Service
  • Info

Written information on what each picture means or does as some pictures in the voice recording section are confusing and unsure how to use the recording sound.
    Otherwise it is awesome

    Developer Response

Thank you for your feedback! The recording bricks are such a cool feature, but they have so many options that they might be intimidating at first. But don't worry, this is how you can record: First, click the purple coding brick with plus in the middle to create a new sound. Once the recording menu pops up, you can record by pressing the red dot, stop it with the square and listen to your masterpiece by pressing the triangle. Once you're happy with the result, press the little coding brick next to the square to choose an image that should represent your sound. As soon as that is done, you can start using your sounds in your coding sequence. Because we always want you to have as much fun with the app as possible, I've also passed on your feedback to our team, so they can look into it and improve the app in the future. Thank you again for your feedback and I wish you loads of fun with Vernie! - Gabriela, LEGO® Customer Service
  • Bugs

The big green start and red stop buttons are broken making it important to run activities concurrently

    Developer Response

Hi there! So sorry to hear about that. If you're referring to the green start and red stop buttons within the app, there could be a glitch with your app. In this case, we would recommend trying to uninstall the app, checking that your device is up to date and has enough storage space for the BOOST app, and then reinstalling it. If none of this helps, please get in touch with us at LEGO.build/ContactUs. Enjoy BOOSTing around! Céline, LEGO Customer Services
  • Coding is Fun!

In this app you can build a robot you want to build in step by step order then you can have fun coding when your finished. It has a lot of motion and action. I’m more experienced with it cause I go to a school that has to do with coding.
  • This is awesome!

    Everything is awesome!
Got it for my son’s birthday. He has been playing with the robot with the app for hours (no joke). He has been going through and equipping everything he can. He has had the robot tell jokes, shoot at targets, everything. While the whole thing is expensive, it is worth it.

Hi! So great to hear that your son loves it. I hope Vernie and Frankie behave and the fun continues. Happy Birthday from us 🎊🎉🎂 Kind regards Lisa
  • Great but....

Now, I really do enjoy this and I haven’t been getting bored. The only issue is that the batteries run out sooooo quickly! You can only play this for a few days then you have to get new batteries! My mom has to buy new batteries all the time! I like this toy very much but PLEASE make the batteries last longer!!!!

  • Busy

It has lots of cool stuff that you can do different things depending on what Lego boost because some don’t make sounds because it just moves
  • Entertainment

I got this only a few days ago and i have already made have of the lego boosts. So fun. Recommended
  • Not ideal on an iPhone

Overall, totally love the product, but the app could be better. On my iPhone 6 both me and my daughter find it difficult to select the coding blocks as they are so close to the edge and, for me, are too small to see 😭
The app won’t work on my 6 year old iPad as the iOS is no longer updated.
I would prefer an instruction book but I understand why one wasn’t included.

  • Real awesome 😎 👍👍👍

I got this LEGO set this Christmas 🎄 and it’s my favourite gift 🎁. The app is really awesome, but there’s one thing to improve on the game takes a really long time download.
    Thanks for reading!!!
