Great app
If you purchase the hard copy of the Filament Bible, then you can download this app, and then scan the icon in the first page (app leads you through this). Then when reading the Bible , there is an icon on each page which you can scan with the app.
You will then have notes that pertain to the section, related maps, and also audio Bible for the version which is free (don’t have to pay additional fee since you already bought the app, thank you!). I like this integration a lot. It gives me a smaller Bible, because the notes are offline from hard copy giving my Bible a reasonable size even with giant print.
The maps in the app have some interaction in highlights in them of significant events which you can then tap and examine more thoroughly.
Hopefully they continue to develop and support this app because it’s very useful!Show lessAmber646578
A grate study tool
I mainly just use the study notes part of it while I’m take my own notes. I like how you can use this to have a devotional with the chapter you’re reading on and you can just learn a lot and study more from the resources they gave you on this app.phillyman66

Seems to be developed with a single purpose — to sell print Bibles in only two offered translations, neither of which I’m interested in. And I have enough Bibles.RonaldRH49
Innovative
I’ve recently just bought a new bible as it is my goal to read the whole content. I saw that the version I bought is compatible with the filament app; as I opened and used it, its features honestly amazed me on how it has different ways to motivate you to read and to keep you on track which is exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve tried other bible apps before, but they usually persuade you to pay for the premium version to access everything or just not have enough content. Needs improvements
Honestly, I love the concept of the app. My major gripe with the app is that there is no way to search for a passage. I HAVE to use the camera to scan my physical bible. But if I don’t have my bible with me then there is no way for me to go directly to a specific passage of scripture.
I hope this feature gets added soon because I genuinely like everything about the app, I have to use a different when I don’t have my NLT physical Bible with me.Show lessb_ruhnuh
Giant print NLT, avoid it
The App does not work with this edition. Yet, it says “filament enabled” on the intro page. Contacting them by email has brought no response for several weeks. The app does not recognize the page numbers in this edition. I’m exceedingly disappointed. And would not recommend this edition of filament Bible, unless you just need the printed word, the rest that is promised is not accessible and there is no help available. Amazing but needs notes!
I love love love this app. It’s amazing it allows to me read my bible in an informative and indepth way comfortably on the go. But it NEEDS NOTES! you cannot claim this app to be a digital extension of a study bible without bookmarks, highlights, and notes!Tiki_099
Incredible Bible experience
I can’t say enough about Filament. I love the fact that I’m able to carry a simple, small Bible that has nothing but the text of Scripture in it, and then pair it with this app to get TONS of great info tied to every page through my phone. Study notes, articles, videos (!), interactive maps.
