  • A request to ice the cake for this app

Hey filament, I love this app and it’s helped me a lot with understanding the Bible, but I am a very audio based learner, if it’s possible can the app have audio on the study notes and the things we read on the study section? If not add a section where I can copy and paste the word so I can apply it through a program where the words can be read to me! Thank you, besides all that you guys did a great Job on the app, please do me this one favor and I truly believe it will increase the learning for many readers.

  • Fantastic App

The app is very easy to use and makes a lot more sense than having to carry a heavy study Bible everywhere! However being an older user, I would love the option of making the print size larger as I purchased my Filament Bible with a large print Bible and find it hard to adjust my vision to reading the small print in much of the app. Other than that, I love all the features and content. Would encourage the developers to keep adding to the worship songs and videos to keep it fresh and maybe also add to the reflect section. It would be great to be able to journal within the app or write and save personal reflections too. Thank you for a wonderful addition to my daily time in the Word!

  • Wonderful app once I learned what to scan on page

I struggled with this app at first as I believed I needed to scan the entire page with the narrow scan image at first. Then I checked with a video explanation on YouTube to see you only scan the page number and not the entire page! Once I saw the YouTube video, the app was easy to use and highly informative. Instructions for using the scan feature are highly inadequate, however, and likely the cause of any negative ratings.

  • H O R R I B LE !!!!

I purchased the Filament Bible from my church bookstore and now have the app.
I’ve been trying to use it for about a year.

I signed in and jumped through all the hoops to log-in to the app, but the Bible TEXT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE APP!!??

    Not helpful at all.

This is an entirely CUMBERSOME idea - now I am unnecessarily limited if I want to use the app alone.

SO I learned that I can use the app to search by page or book to use the resources, ok, I can use another publisher’s Bible app in another window on my phone to follow along, BUT every time there is a software update, NOW I MUST STOP WHAT IM DOING TO GO SCAN MY PHYSICAL BIBLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FILAMENT APP!!??

What a horrible waste of time to authenticate purchase of the Filament Bible.

WHY NOT just have a normal log-in system with a customer database to ease the process!!??
I have stopped using Filament Bible System because IT IS SO CUMBERSOME TO USE!!
E V E R Y time I open it (seemingly) I have to go scan my physical Bible.
PLEASE speak to the developer to make a user-friendly app & log-in system.
Also, I’m not sure but it seems that many of the resources are not downloaded onto the device so if I am not on WiFi, I cannot view the resource, I am not entirely sure if this is the case or if I may have a different issue, but I’ve become frustrated with this app so I stopped using it altogether.

I do like the content of the app, but it isn’t a good user experience for me at all. (Mainly the log-in system & I don’t understand why the Bible text isn’t included in the app).

I am sitting in bed on early Saturday morning on my phone trying to use Filament app and cozy in bed but cannot use the app. This will derail my study if I have to get the physical Bible every time. Once I am out of bed, my day has begun.
(It Seems like I’ve got to re-sign in frequently).

I am sorry I bought the Filament Bible and sorry I recommended it to others.

I only recommend Tecarta, LOGOS, or Olive Tree apps now.
    They are more user-friendly, imho.

    Thank you for your time.

  • Want to use with our church congregation, but needs updates!

My senior pastor and I purchased two NLT Bibles to use with this app, and we were excited upon first glance. However, as we were preparing to promote it for all our Sunday School classes, we found that the app now forces you to rescan the Q code and walk through the tutorial EVERY time you go to open the app. You scan the chapter you want, but unless you leave the app "open," you're going to end up losing the page you just scanned and starting all the way back at the Q code. Please fix ASAP, because currently the app is too frustarting to ask our congregation to use! Also, we'd like to see versions of Bibles that are more popular--ESV, NIV, NASB.

  • Issues

Every time I try to scan a page it takes me back to the beginning to scan the sample page 909. How do I get around that? There is nothing else to click on!
  • Really good quality app!

This is one of the best study bible apps I’ve used. The simple design of this app makes it really easy to get around and there is so many features with the app, I find it fun to use!
  • Great but....

I reviewed this app a while ago. Changed to one star this time. The app has been updated since my last review but still no reader view. Why have you not upgraded the text color, size option or provided a dark setting. The print is really small and hard to read. Very disappointing that you don’t care about older readers.

I love the app but why not make it easier to read. Provide a readers version or make the print contrast better. Gray print on white is too hard to see.

    Developer Response

With the Filament Bible 2.0 update that released yesterday, you now have the ability to change the text size in the app through the settings menu (accessed by tapping the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the home screen). We hope this does the trick for you!
  • Hard to scan page

Love the app but find it hard to scan the page. I guess it is because I shake too much. Wish it was better to use on this part but I do look it up manually and it works but the scanning of the page is quite difficult for me.
  • Notes

A great feature for your users is to provide the ability to take notes and associate those notes to specific books or verses.
