Update Wiped All My Documents
Logged in today to use one of my many mind-maps, only to find that everything’s gone. Everything. Support is zero help - “missing documents”, “missing”, “gone”, “cannot find”, and every variation I can think of brings up no search results.
The entire point is to record my thoughts for later, so what’s the point of this program if I can’t then bring the data back up?Show lessLana4279

Hi Lana! So sorry to hear this happened. Unfortunately, iCloud keeps having hiccups like this. In most cases, files can be recovered from Recently Deleted on iCloud.com. However, in some cases users could not see their files there and had to recover them as outlined here: https://9to5mac.com/2019/10/23/recover-lost-icloud-documents-files/ We're also investigating these issues at the moment and it would be super helpful if you could describe what you did before the file loss happened and answer some questions that might help us get to the bottom of this and send us the answers to support@mindnode.com: 1. What MindNode and iOS version are you using? 2. Please check if there are any crash logs on your device for MindNode and send them to us. Here's how you can find them: https://help.getpocket.com/article/1098-how-to-find-the-iphone-ipad-app-crash-logs 3. It would also be very helpful if you could provide us with the file access log from your device. This log contains document access activity, including current and previous document and folder names. No document content will be included in the log! We will treat this information as personal information and will never share it outside the team. We will only keep this information as long as we investigate your issue and for a maximum of one month. You can send us this information using the following steps: a. On the Browse tab, select the gear icon in the upper left corner to bring up the About MindNode screen b. Select the entry "Settings" c. Shake your device to bring up a dialog to access debug settings, select "Show Settings" d. Scroll down the list to the entry "File Access Log" and select it e. An email sheet will pop up. Please send us this email. Thank you so much in advance! I know it's a lot. But it's our best chance of getting behind what's going on. I used Mindnode in a collaboration with customer 2 years ago. We spent a significant amount of time developing a mind map surveying numerous coworkers and historical documents. The customer wanted to revisit and expand upon that work. The file is gone.
Update: first I would commend the Mindnode support team for their quick response! The good news, my file reappeared and I downloaded it to save a hard copy. Whew! It was probably something I did wrong, just not sure what.Show lessOH badger
App crashing despite troubleshooting
I used this app for a while and now after the march 24th 2022 update, it won’t even open. I am glad i didn’t pay for a subscription. I’m a bit disappointed. In general, the app was awesome before the update. Please fix thi so i can continue to make notes for myself whenever i have an idea. Or fix it so i can copy and paste my ideas i have lost because the app will not start.Show lessjoshomgwtgdairyqueenbbq
Confusing
I’m a Product Manager but either technically challenged or the app isn’t intuitive. Without buying the subscription I can’t even see how to edit and add nodes to a thought. Very weird and what looked good quickly caused me disappointment. Sorry but you lost meVmdisney

The app was great for the first map I did but it took a while after another one. Now that I need the app to do a work, it keeps crashing and not even opening. Very sad that I lost so much money in this app.Bl-ue07

I understand you want people to purchase but limiting it to belo-basic levels is a turn-off. I’ve been using mind maps since the 1990s (Mind Manager) and then SimpleMind. Why do I need another mind map? One think I liked that on my iPad I can actually “write” with my Apple Pencil and the writing is transformed to text. Nice. But since I can’t try other features until I click “upgrade” I can’t give you more than 3 stars.Show lessbekqu

Love this app. Requesting paste style feature for a node and 5% zoom for iPhone so I can see the whole mindmap.Normally happy dude
How many subscriptions can one have?
I have paid full price for this app several times due to the updates and the fact that you were required to pay for different versions for iPad and Mac. I recently downloaded mind node on my new iPad and found that I must, once again, purchase a yearly subscription to continue using the app as I was before. No thanks.Show lessRemmySteel
It’s legit, and I would know!
- I’m a therapist with post-grad certificates in neurobiology
- I never leave reviews in which I cite my “credentials” - I think it’s obnoxious
- I am hyper-skeptical of any product that claims to be able to effortlessly increase productivity
That said, I’m here breaking my own rules because this app is incredible! After playing around with it for about 45 minutes, I perfectly mapped a three-pronged, multi-layered small business plan that has thus far taken up about a dozen notebooks and still not fully come together.
This app works because it maps information with the same type of structure/pattern that our brains use - there is no gimmick, just a smart person who figured out who to translate that into a user friendly program. Bravo to that guy/gal!
I won’t be waiting for the free trial to end before I purchase this gem, and you can bet my team will be getting it for Christmas! If there isn’t a desktop version, I hope it’s in the works!Show lesscblicsw
