App not accepting payment and locked out of account
I was really looking forward to setting up the jiobit when I received it yesterday. I made an account on the app the day before in anticipation of receiving the device. I go through the steps of setting up the device and when it’s time to process my payment for the subscription, it keeps taking me back to the same payment screen. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and now I can’t login to my account. When I try to login, it keeps asking for my phone number to send the confirmation number to. It’s basically asking me to make a new account when I just want to login, and then it’s not letting me into the account as it gives me the error message that “an account is already associated with this number”. My issue is that this company doesn’t have a phone number to call, or a real customer representative to speak to. You have to chat with a robot who sends you an email saying someone should write me back. For a company that sells a tracking device for safety, you should have a live customer service rep available to speak to. I bought this for my son to wear on an upcoming trip who has a disability, and this is a time sensitive case. I was hoping to start having him wear it today as he went to school. I hope to be contacted today to have this issue rectified. If this is rectified today, I will change my review. But I am feeling unsettled that I can’t begin using this device.

App is disgraceful
I’m paying over $200/year in subscription fees after paying over $100 per device, and their app won’t let me add any trusted members to our “care team” or do anything as simple as update my contact information. This is very basic stuff that any moderately competently company should be able to address. They haven’t updated their app in months. I won’t be renewing because I can’t trust such an incompetent company. It’s a shame because it otherwise would be a great product. Battery life is great. Tracking is adequate. Piece of mind… well, we had piece of mind. I no longer trust the device or the app if the company is this incompetent and unresponsive.

Extremely Annoyed
The app is broken and I can't login. I tried to reset my password but don't receive an email. When it appears to log me in, I can see my child's info for 2 seconds and then it automatically takes me to a "set up a new device" screen. It's in some sort of loop. I called customer service and it's an automated service telling me to access the chat with the app....that I can't get into! WTH! And I could t find a portal version to login as it is just trying to sell me more products. This is insane and what if it were an emergency?

Was great
Got this 18 months ago for my two dogs. I wanted to be able to know when they escaped the fence and exactly where they are It worked great until recently. Now it is constantly jumping on and off Wi-Fi so I’m get sometimes 10 notifications an hour telling me they’ve left and then they’ve returned. Can’t keep this up. Jiobit is now part of Tile so don’t know if that’s how it is but can say that I don’t have a way to get help from them. I’ve sent help inquiries with no response except to ask me to rate the requested help which I’ve responded asking for them to response.
I think I’m going to stop and start with AirTags until I do enough research on a similar system.

Sounds good on paper- terrible execution
I have had more problems than successes with this app. The battery life is poor, tracking refresh or live view take incredibly long or just don’t work.
One time my 3 year old wandered out of sight and it took the app 3 minutes to refresh….. that is a very long time to be worrying about a child when you are paying a monthly subscription to a product that supposedly alleviates those types of headaches.
I plan on canceling my subscription and finding a better solution. Do your homework before buying.

Very disappointed
This company loves to take your money but does not come through on their end with support or doesn’t help resolve any issues with jiobit. Now I want to cancel and they want to charge canceling fees when their product never worked!
Unreliable tracking and all upsell
Waste of a lot of money. Despite the advertising the device only reliably locates when in range of a linked phone which means if your child is lost Jiobit is no help.
AWESOME for a cat!
This device has helped me find our cat 4 times in less than a year! I could tell which neighbor's backyard he was in, or which street he wandered into by looking at the map in the app. I can also look at his history and see where he has gone when he was wandering. Plus, when it shows he is home and I cant find him, I just ring his jiobit from my phone and the jiobit alarm goes off. At this point the cat has gotten used to just coming to find me so that I can stop his device from ringing. I'm thinkin about getting another for my dog in case he gets out. Highly recommend for kids too. you can place them in a backpack for ensuring uour kids safety.

Setup instructions are missing a crucial step
You have to go to menu and click on account and activate the subscription on the app and click purchase - the plan doesn’t start until then- afterward the Jiobit will connect.
Great tracking device
Tried a few different competitors and nothing gave us a feeling of safety for my 91 year old Mom. Decided to give Jiobit a try and have had nothing but great consistent service.
Updating her location is quick. Setting zones was a breeze. The charge last many days and customer support at the initial setup was quick and painless.
Would highly recommend this!
