disappointing
Lazy programming staff
Response from developer
We understand that this can be frustrating, but please know we are working as quickly and safely as possible. Like other software companies, we begin testing with a Beta version of a new OS but can only complete the development process once the final version of the software is released. Since our apps are an accessory to a medical device, they must go through a rigorous process of testing and verification, so that we can assure that the apps work as intended with your mobile device.
Constant glucose monitor
The notifications mute calls
If I turn off Critical Notifications on the Notifications Settings, it stops the problem but then the app gets a huge splash screen that blocks half of the screen, making it pretty much unusable.
Aside from that issue, everything else's been working as it is supposed to.
Response from developer
I'm sorry to hear this. I'll share this with our team for review. Thanks for letting us know.
does not update fast enough with apple updates and new phones
Response from developer
We certainly understand and are looking into ways to speed up the process for updates. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
Your product isn’t only the sensor and transmitter is the app need improve
Medtronic if I will find another product with a better app I swear I will change, but seems that your competitor doesn’t care too its app to more than 4 months without an update.
Response from developer
We appreciate the feedback. Whenever possible, we recommend postponing updates to your operating system until we have confirmed compatibility. At this time, both your device and iOS version should be compatible. If you are still having trouble, please give us a call at 800.646.4633, option 1.
Bugs Lead to Losing Sensor
Also, I agree with everyone saying the app notifications now mute calls.
Response from developer
We appreciate the feedback. We did remove the Audio Override feature and replaced it with Audio Volume Slider. If you are stll having difficulty with notification volume or sensor connection, please give our technical support team a call at 800.646.4633, option 1.
Useless
Just got off the phone with Medtronic. They explained to me that the sensor can’t pair with the phone because it is, in fact, NOT the latest sensor. Even though they continue to call it by the same name (Guardian sensor). It might confuse consumers if you call it by the same name and declare that now you can connect to IOS devices, but never explain that it requires a new transmitter! Try harder Medtronic.
Response from developer
I'm sorry for any confusion our naming has caused. Our Guardian Connect is a CGM only system and has the letters "GC" printed on the front. It is correct that this app is not compatible with our insulin pump systems. We hope you'll stay tuned for information about our MiniMed 770G system which does include smartphone connectivity.
Disappointed!
Alarms are all set at maximum volume and audio alerts won’t shut off
Now a new issue appeared where my audio alerts are disabled in the guardian connect app but THE AUDIO OUTPUT IS NOT! The Audio Override button is switched off in the app. I’ve resorted to shutting off all notifications to silence it.
