It’s a great idea but they are extremely incompetent and not consistent. Countless times I’ve had guests who could not pick up the keys or could not drop off the keys and cancel I’ve lost over thousands of dollars in cancellations doing business with this company the absolute worst.august2optimist
Shockingly terrible technology for such an old company
The key pickup cafes require internet 100% of the time to work, and often don’t have connection to the internet. Terrible design, locked out for hours.Smeggles
Fine when it works, atrocious when it doesn’t
When the app connects, it’s a painless process. But I’ve been standing here for 20 minutes waiting to return my keys, and I had similar troubles when retrieving them.
AirBnB hosts: Do not force your guests to use this app. You are causing them trouble at a time when they want to enjoy their vacation.

The app does not open - DO NOT DOWNLOAD
The app does not work most of the time. We are stranded in NYC because of this app. No access to our key and no customer support help. 24/7 chat link does not work and customer service calls stay on hold forever.Kara8743
What a pain!
Nothing should be that much more difficult than it had to be. Thank goodness the air b&b had a concierge to help me, but why not just leave the key with them in the first place? Next time I look for a place to stay, if this app is required, it’s a definite deal breaker.Planet R.

I’m actually pretty impressed. A friend asked me to download the app and drop some keys off in the drop box and it was genuinely very easy. I reckon the people that have been leaving low ratings were inpatient and not very tech savvy.Aussidudeinusa

This app will not work offline
Travellers often have limited data so it should work offline to store the codes. Ideally the key lockers should have a wifi hotspot to use only with key cafe. Then the user could open the locker from the app.
Also locker would not scan the fob when returning.Girilang
Doesn’t work, pretty sure the positive reviews are fake
The app doesn’t load on IOS. It just hangs, and it doesn’t seem to be a new problem with the current build, old reviews say the same. In theory this is convenient but in practice it’s a poorly made app with hoops to jump through just to acquire a key, where instead you should be able to have your host email you a codeShow lessAyyjohn
