  • App is Useless; Jury’s Still Out on WD

Tried to type some notes in a document. Hit the wrong thing and the menu became inaccessible; just a poorly-formatted document and an option bar running off the screen. Buyer’s remorse on my lifetime membership to WD (for 80 bucks, I could’ve just figured something else out) but the app is just ridiculous. Unreleasable.

  • Bad bug

Good morning. I recently purchased WriterDuet Pro (lifetime) through the Boing Boing sale this weekend - thank you so much for making this fantastic software affordable. I’ve already started writing a new project and I love being able to seemlessly go between the browser and the app. However, there is a really bad bug that is disrupting my workflow.

If I am writing dialogue, I end a sentence, backspace to the end of the sentence, put in a period, and then the last letter of the word that I am punctuating will disappear. Please try to replicate this if you can.

I will be happy to change my review score at anytime this bug gets fixed. Thank you for listening and responding.

  • Useful but buggy

It’s really easy to use and has a lot of functions, but the app is incredibly buggy. Sometimes you can’t access the menu, sometimes you can’t select previously written sections of writing. I’ve lost several pages of work because of the issues, and I’d recommend using a different app
  • Good, but...

How about updating the app for 2017 phones? Or the 2018 phones or the 2018 iPads?
  • When it works it’s great

I love this app, its phenomenal. I use it daily on my iPad, it’s super simple and straightforward.
My only issues are that sometimes the scripts take forever to load, if at all, even when there is wifi. And it’s impossible to exit out of the title page editor because the “x” is right were you slide for more settings, so it can’t be pressed.

  • Can’t seem to upgrade.

I’m pretty sure all my problems are user related, but...the app won’t let me upgrade. Also, I can’t find a tutorial. And, I can’t seem to find a way to copy past my script to another we. Site without losing the format. Help!
  • Great software, but the app for iPad needs an update

I love WriterDuet on desktop, it’s the best software I’ve used for screenwriting - I couldn’t have higher praise for it.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to export my scripts from my iPad, and that has been rendering it useless for me. I hope there is an update soon, I’m disappointed.
  • Excellent sceeenwriting app!

Great! I use it all the time!
One bug that should be fixed, though - when you edit the title page it is impossible to press the "x" to close it.
  • App Crashes All The Time

The app will open, but refuse to even open up your last script. Also, the app will refuse to create a new script without crashing. For some reason, it has better luck loading scripts with data in them than new scripts with no data. No idea why.
  • Duet is not free read review before you don’t install the app

I love this app I’ve had it for two days but the reason I downloaded the app was to be able to do it with friends but to do that you have to buy pro ( which it mentions no where)
But other then that amazing app.
