1.28.0

Hey, if you’re looking for Sudo phone numbers in the United Kingdom, this release is for you! The United Kingdom now requires all users to go through a Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process before they’ll issue a UK phone number. For convenience, we have built the KYC process right into the app. The process is simple, and you’ll only have to go through it once to get your UK phone numbers. Also in this release you’ll see a new improved dial pad, to make it even easier to connect on video, reach out to Sudo handles, and make phone calls. Oh yeah, we’ve also fixed a few bugs. Thanks for using MySudo! If you need help, reach out via X @MySudoApp or email support@mysudo.com

Reviews of MySudo

  • Satisfied I really like this service and this call/txt option

My only complaint is voIP numbers are restricted from certain verification situations; and I assume most my sudo numbers are voip numbers. That being said I am satisfied customer. I use my sudo in response to privacy concerns I have experienced in the past. Currently I have the sudo plus plan and I am going to upgrade to the sudo max plan. I have yet to utilize the email and virtual card features but if I ever have the need it’s good to know those are available. Comparing my sudo to other companies that offer the same service I would say my sudo prices are fair considering what is offered. The interface is user friendly. I have not had any issues using the app in the few months I have subscribed thus far. I don’t have anything to add about customer service because everything I wanted to know so far is in the FAQs
  • Long time user: Support Fixes a stubborn product failure

Update: after weeks of investigation, MySudo appears to have fixed the problem I outlined below. I’ve edited the problem down to bare details should anyone else get the same problem. What was a weeks long negative experience seems to have turned around. TL, DR; don’t let your funding source expire in their end. Change it to a new card before it expires and kicks it out of the system. I’m switching my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.

    Original issues:

I’ve been a MySudo user for a long time. And I rely on their virtual cards for various subscriptions. In order to create a virtual card, you must have your real debit card on file. (No problem). But my debit card expired and when I went to enter the new one, the app won’t take it. I tried a credit card (JP Morgan Chase), it won’t take it. So I contacted customer service...and it took weeks to be able to rectify the problem. MySudo believes my bank blocked it from being added. But I attempted using multiple banks and all created the same problem. Either way, they eventually were able to reset something and it appears to be working now.

    Developer Response

Hi DM, we are sorry to hear you are having issues updating your funding source. I believe our support team are working with you to resolve this issue asap - hopefully you will be back track soon. I would also like to inform you that we are well underway in making a number of significant improvements in the Virtual Cards area, you will see these improvements start to roll out over a number of releases in the coming weeks. Regards Team Sudo
  • You decide

After downloading the app and going through the motions and everything working as expected, I started receiving spam calls, texts a few weeks later to my personal number. The interesting part is that I never received them before I downloaded he app, and they never use my legal name when calling, they use the nickname used for this account. I’ve deleted the app and I’m recommending that you use this app with extreme caution. You don’t know what the developers true motives are behind this app. I want to like the app as it would be better to use something like this as for privacy, but after my experience I’m not sure. Again this is up to you and you decide if you would like to use this app.

    Developer Response

Scott, there is absolutely no linkage between MySudo and your cell number. What could have happened here is that you have used your "nickname" in the past on some service with your cell number. By coincidence that service has since become compromised around the time you have installed MySudo. MySudo does not have access to your cell number, name or anything about you. We dont even know the name or "nickname" you have used when creating your Sudos, this information is encrypted using the security keys stored on your device that only you have access to. None of this information is accessible to us even on our backend servers, it is all encrypted with your keys.   Please see these articles for more information on how your data is encrypted and stored - https://support.mysudo.com/hc/en-us/sections/14729749898139-Security-Privacy.
