Tracking is fine. Planning is awful
In addressing my negative concerns. The planning interface is really painful to use. Dates are forced - imagine you decide you’ll be somewhere a week earlier than thought. You first have to change the first plan to reduce its length, then you need to add a new plan in the “unplanned” section- you can’t expand your second plan - the dates are locked because you previously had something there. You need to move things around to accommodate. Very cumbersome. Finally it’s getting location wrong in plans (I select Puerto Rico, it adds “st Pierre and Miquelon”). We travel frequently between Texas and New York and this app automates tracking those travels for tax purposes. I was initially concerned by some of the negative reviews about TaxBird but decided to downloaded the app anyway (there is a free trial period before a subscription is required) and it has worked exactly as described. The typical battery consumption is less than 1% according to my iPhone and the cost of a TaxBird subscription is very reasonable as compared to others which provide similar functionality.Show lessrobertivey
Excellent App needs Automator
Excellent app. Especially for those in Puerto Rico.
Only thing missing is that it should have a Apple iphone short cut that automatically opens it at 3 AM every night so that way it’s truly a seamless hands-free experience for the user.Apple2morrow

Not reliable
I keep the location settings on always allow and it is still hit or miss. Seems every other day I get an alert that location setting was not tracked. I then have to enter it manually. It’s really frustrating to have to pay so much attention to this app.sueadler
Great App but PR…
They need to have a check the box option that DOES NOT include Puerto Rico in the United States aggregate calculation.

I’ve been using it since the spring. It allowed me to manually enter the days before I bought it, and it kept track of all my movements including a trip to Canada, Greenland, and Iceland. I moved back-and-forth between North Carolina and Virginia and South Carolina, and it never missed a beat. Awesome app.Show lessa churc user

There have been a few bugs, but they are quickly resolved, and the communication is good.martincounty
Puerto Rico tacking fail
I purchased TaxBird to track my days in PR. In my trial period the app was able to track my days so I went ahead and purchased the app and then it never worked again. For some reason it I did not show up as subscribed. I emailed the support group and answered their questions and followed through on their suggestions but after about 4 or 5 emails - they said they couldn’t help me nor would they be able to refund my money. They told me to try and get the refund through the App Store. The app is a beta project at best and they never made any effort to refund my money. If you’re looking for an app to track days - this is not the one.Show lessmlayden42
