  • Great product and great app

Tons of functionality for a free app, very satisfied.
  • Preview does not reflect settings in manual

I’m using an iPhone 7 with the Insta360 One. If you set the camera into manual mode, when you switch the ISO to your desired settings the preview will update to reflect this change. If you then set the shutter, the preview does not change. Also changing the ev level, the preview does not change. It is a bit frustrating since now you have to do a bunch of test shots to figure out exposure. Other competitor software/hardware does not have this issue.

  • Iphone 5s

What will happen if I connect the camera to iphone 5s? The app runs on iphone 5s! What is the problem with iphone 5s?
  • Album swipe to delete

Please put back swipe to delete pictures in album. Circle organizes is not good improvements. Original thumb nail display make more useful

    Please reverse these great functions
  • More features!!

Give us the ability to remove ourselves from the image like the yi360 does!! Not EVERYONE wantS to be the focus of every image!
  • Buggy and lacking important features.

Crashes to home page at least once a session or locks up. App will consistently lock up or crash when trying to assign a SmartTrack without playing at least the first second of video first.

Application can not rotate images around the center of the current view so if the camera is recording at anything other than vertically the videos will be at odd angles.

  • Fails to export

I love the device and the app concept works well. Freecapture is a great concept and the chief reason I selected Insta360 ONE. Unfortunately, every time I edit together a freecapture video and attempt to export it, the app pinwheels, makes no progress, and ultimately fails or crashes. I have not successfully exported a single video recorded to the SD-card in the camera. There is also no way to transfer recordings from the SD-card to local storage on the iPhone/iPad to later edit without the camera attached. Regardless of how clever the experience is, if you can’t successfully save or export your work, it’s useless, as is all the recorded content. If they can get the issues with transfer/save/export ironed out, this app will very quickly rise from 1 Star to 4/5 stars in my perspective.

  • Crashes, but there's a "fix"

Awesome app, but not usable now after the 2.2.0 update. Tried on iPhone SE and iPhone 8.
The only way to fix is by uninstalling and reinstalling, but then you lose any pics in the "App 360 Album". back them up on iTunes on your computer before uninstalling if you care for any of those photos.
  • Good, but still needs to update for iPhone X.

Love the camera and the app. Only suggestion is that when I plug into my iPhone X, the app does not flip upside down so that the camera is on the top. It does flip when I click to camera mode, but when I am using any other feature of the app, I have to flip the phone, and the camera is then on the bottom, making it easier to fall and break if bumped.

  • Fun but needs some tweaks

First off the support from the company is very good. I had daily responses to my questions.

Initially I tried to use the Insta360 with an iphone 5S. The app didn’t fully work but you could still get some functionality. I upgraded my phone to an iphone X and immediately noticed that the app worked differently. Since the camera plugs into the bottom of the camera you need to flip the camera upside down. The app flips orientation so that you can use it even when the phone is upside down...except on the iPhone X. Support just let me know that this function does not work on the X. Maybe a future update will fix that. It does flip orientation while the camera mode is on, just not for the settings or album mode. It’s annoying but not a deal breaker.

My main complaint is that the app seems to have issues connecting to the camera all the time. It often needs a camera reboot to find it.

So far it’s been fun to use and I say it’s well worth the price. Just understand that there are some glitches to get familiar with.
