Scrolling through recorded footage on the cameras is a nightmare
The in app recording feature does not work. It’s very faulty. So I screen record footage I like. Scrolling even like half a millimetre on the scroll bar sends you multiple minutes. It is VERY frustrating to find the part you’re looking for. I absolutely hate it. Please make the scrolling bar not show you the entire day or whatever it shows you. When you scrolling through time it REALLY should be easier to pin point by the second.

App controls missing
I’m not sure if it was due to an update or if it’s caused by my neighbors hacking my devices but I just noticed that the controls for settings and automations on my Aqara iPad app are not working. Wondering if other users are experiencing a loss of ability to control their automations. Lately I’ve lost more and more function but nothing in my home has changed. I know they have done dns or denial of service attacks on my iPad. Wonder if this is related. Aqara, can you look at my apps logs and tell me if someone is messing with my stuff on 5e back end?

Frequently logs me out, useless for doorbell
Every time I try to check the doorbell video stream or speak to a visitor, I open the app to find it has signed me out without asking, and I can’t do anything without manually logging back in (it also never saves my login details).
Unfortunately this renders it totally useless as a smart doorbell app. Please fix this bug, and I’ll be able to give a higher rating.

Functional but sparse
Doesn’t support widgets or shortcuts in iOS, so kind of limits what one can do with devices through the app and how smart it can be. Shame, as with many smart home things, the app lets down the pretty solid hardware.

(SOLVED: My main issue is “AUTOMATION ALARMS” TAKING OVER 30% of the app screen EACH TIME I need to quickly check on a camera. Already get these same exact alerts on my device screen. Why are the app developers DOUBLING these with no option to disable? Let us choose if we want multiple alerts. Dread opening the app every time the screen is blocked. Just make a notification TAB with all that in chronological order?)

They have an option of two alerts the one with the envelope is the one that does DEVICE notifications it does NOT send an email notification and does not do the annoying app screen pop-up. Why use "✉️" symbol for the 📲 notification? ✉️🟰ALWAYS is EMAIL. I found this accidentally ..solved my own problem because even after contacting them a few times they didn't critically read my concern or ask me any questions in reply. Such a simple quick solution. 🤦🏻♀️

Made it slow to make you buy the hub
MATTER SHOULD Not need a proprietary hub
And they have recently updated the app which results in you having to wait for an Internet connection to then be able to load the Bluetooth connection to the Lok which doesn’t have an Internet proprietary hub. It’s almost as if they saw me coming.
Having suggested there was going to be Apple home key support which has not been forthcoming I can’t wait to leave this brand in the past

Good but missing important function

Fantastic hardware, terrible app
Love Aqara products, have a ton and they are easily some of the best, super reliable can’t fault them in any way, Aqara also provides fantastic HomeKit support which means for the most part you don’t need to use this app which is their salvation cause this app is pretty bad (and to be fair most smart home vendor apps are bad too) unfortunately HomeKit does not support controls of 360 cameras, so have to rely on the Aqara app and it’s bad, not going to go over details cause I’m not payed for that, but ux/ui is very poor, if they hire decent designers they can do an assessment for them. I’m particularly frustrated that they removed the ability of swiping directly on the camera view to control it, not to mention the app doesn’t really support multi-tasking, it resets the view if you leave the app, its even worse on iPad not taking any proper advantage of the screen real state. Hopefully HomeKit supports proper 360 cameras soon to end my misery.

Not working since update
I updated yesterday and now the remote control is no longer working. I just ordered 3 more M2s yesterday when it was working so really really hoping I can figure this out!! Very annoying! I’m going to try deleting and reinstalling the app I really really hope I don’t need to readd all my accessories if I do but nothing else is working. I deleted all my remotes to try fix it but now I can’t readd them. I tried turning the hub off and on and that isn’t working either. I’m frustrated!

Best camera on the market
I have literally hundreds of cameras from blink, Wyze, ring, sightbulb, cloudedge. This is the only one that works out of the box without a subscription to detect humans. so it is the most useful because if I subscribe to the subscription of all my cameras, I would pay hundreds a month. I can just check this one to see the actual interesting times and then if necessary go back to any other camera at that time.
