Not so user friendly for me

Had excellent customer service with Yvonne to get my system up and running after a long lapse of not using. All went very well. I a:now experiencing difficulties with getting the time of day reset and the notifications seem to come on when they like. I’m scratching my head on these issues. Motion detectors all work fine and picture resolution is good. I have a 2000 SF footprint on my house and one camera on opposite end of house from receiver doesn’t connect. That’s a bummer

Very nice app!

I’ve been using Lorex now for over 3 years. I have a system at home, and at work. They both deliver very good reception with the quality of the video. The app has given me some difficulties, specifically with the push notifications, however the motion detection still records any activity, so we are still being protected.

System good, App terrible

I’ve had my Lorex wired system (LHA4108) for over 2 years, and it has worked reliably. We live in a low crime area, with little activity, so I had little need for the app. However, with our increased level of home deliveries due to Covid, I started using the mobile app to see when a delivery was being made. SETUP: The App was able to connect quickly with my system, and I was up and running in under 5 minutes. ALERTS: Alerts arrive within ~5 seconds of the activity. When I drive up to our home, I consistently receive an alert before I park my car. I’ve been tracking this for over 6 months, and the alerts are very consistent and reliable. NO SPAM: I really like that I typically get 1 alert per event. My parents have an Arlo device and they sometimes have 10 alerts in 60 seconds. This never happens with Lorex. Why 4 and not 5 stars? The thing I find the most frustrating is the recording load time. The alert is timely, but then I wait about 15 seconds for the video recording to load. When I’m at home, I find it faster to walk over to the window.

Reliable cameras

Had this system for three years now with no problems, might upgrade the cameras though, but more than happy with it

Lorex new app upgrade

I am not too impressed with new update. I think the playback feature needs work. It isn’t as easy to use. It took forever to figure it out. I still have not figured out how to playback more than one camera a t a time. I do love my cameras. But the app does crash sometimes. But in fairness I feel like most apps crash sometimes. It’s not horrible.

Please make connections quicker

Please make connections quicker and more reliable . One min I’m on next I can’t connect. Is getting better but app needs to be more reliable from the time I get an alert to the time I see the video. Someone who intent to do me harm showed up at my house and I got an allert but couldn’t see who it was until several attempts.

Nothing but issues

From the time I bought this there has been nothing but issues. Connection problems. I am running the top of the line equipment at gig speed. When I try to get help they all read from a card on what to do due to not enough experience. I do like you have upgraded your app but still having connection problems. Why can I install 3 blink cameras and have not had 1 connection problem for months now and I never know if my lorex system is gonna work or record. Sometimes when you buy the best you do not get the best! Sorry to say.

Business owner

Good to have a system. It is aggravating when it doesn’t work right, called in for help did not resolve. Call centers falls back to the tired/ erroneous “ firmware...etc” which had been updated previously- aggravating to spend time, effort on system that is suppose to be seemless. Several reliability issues since purchase/ install. But, it is great system when it works like it is suppose to.

System has performed better last couple months. System / Lorex service was pretty terrible before. To early to know, but, improved for short period of time

Love the system

Without a doubt a great system! The only option i can determine to be missing is a easy camera on/ camera off switch from remote locations. Example back porch camera keeps going off cause its Saturday cookout time, or driveway camera keeps letting you know it has motion cause your washing the car. I love the badges going off when the kids are at school or the wife’s at work, but when they are home its a constant reminder its summer time with activities everywhere.

Not good

This app only uses p2p protocol, meaning, it only works within your house using your home network - setup using device name. I tried the IP/Domain setup, it just doesn’t work at all remotely. I’m trying to stay in touch with Lorex but there are long wait times when calling. Using email to communicate with Lorex takes days to get a response. The previous app worked flawlessly. A 5 star rating on the Discontinued app.
