  • Latest Update is Pants

    The latest update to UI has completely ruined what was a functional app. Now it crashes every other photo, you can’t move the picture around inside the frame to choose exactly what you want to print, and no offence but it’s super ugly now. The animations are completely unnecessary. Also it literally won’t let me print anything now unless the printer is plugged into a wall socket ???? It was fine yesterday but now says low battery every time I try to print despite it being full battery. I loved this app before but this UI has me seriously considering selling and getting a hp sink instead.

  • Help!

    I can not get the pics to go into a collage! The first one works but when you go back to pick out another one the whole program shuts down! I used to have no trouble with this print with the old app but now it’s very frustrating and I can’t find any way to contact tech. Support!

    Update:
    I have been waiting for someone to contact me about my situation and that has not happened. I’m not able to use my printer and I’m now even more frustrated! I’m falling behind in my printing and feel like it was a major mistake to purchase this printer. Please prove me wrong and do something!!!

  • New app renders Zip useless

    UPDATE: The new UI is wonderful. Easy to use, functional, and better quality photos. Than you for FINALLY listening to your users!

    Previous: Every time this app is updated usability declines. It doesn’t appear that Polaroid does any end user testing. This version of the app makes the collage function virtually useless. Without the ability to rotate individual photos in the collage, users are limited to a very few preset collages. Old versions allowed ability to rotate individual photos. You do not improve apps by reducing functionality, which is what happens with every “update.”

  • Portrait printing is printing at low resolution

    Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way, actual printing. When I print in landscape mode, the prints come out good as before. Portrait mode on the other hand is extremely pixelated. Yes the update corrected the screen pixelation but the print still comes out pixelated as if someone sent the printer a low resolution of the final result. This was verified by printing a few old pictures in portrait mode to compare with the same photo previously printed before the major update.

    Another minor issue that is missing from the previous iteration is actually able to move the photo while in print preview. What if I want to actually fill the whole paper and not have white borders or what if I wanted to purposely offset the photo for other artistic details? This is not as important as the pixelation but eventually I would like to have this feature back.

    Aside from those issues, the app looks much cleaner than before.

  • Pretty cool

    The pictures are an adorable little size, the editing in the app is super easy to use, I love that I can add text. The only problem I had was that the b&w photos I printed have a pink tint. I tried two different filters and they both turned out pink. It’s also a little slow to send pictures to the printer (could be my old phone though) and there’s no way to cancel that I can figure out. Overall I’m happy with it so far.

  • Needs serious improvement

    It’s kind of ridiculous that the app has such poor ratings and no one has tried to implement updates. I just purchased this mobile printer and if I had known the app’s functionality was this poor, I’m not sure that I would’ve purchased the mobile printer at all.
    If you choose a photo on the app and then “x” out of it to look at another photo, it jumps to some random “bursts” page and won’t let you return to your camera album unless you close and reopen the entire app.
    It also won’t connect to my mobile printer! I have to restart my phone *every* single time I want to print a photo because the app is incapable of printing one photo after the next.
    I really wanted to like the product including the app. The ideas behind the fun stickers and text were solid, but the execution is terrible. Please make improvements so this app can let me do what it’s supposed to do: print photos.

  • Very annoyed....

    I have always had problems with this app and updates do not seem to resolve the problems. The app crashes when halfway through printing pictures on my Polaroid zip printer and I have wasted more of the - expensive - papers than I care to mention; if I resize the photos they become out of focus or the photo loses the bigger picture; the app will not allow me to create a collage; please please please resolve these issues. I have a great deal of patience, but it is running out.....

  • App crashes after 10 seconds

    I’ve had the printer since Feb 2017 and I love it, but I the last 6 months I have been EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED by the “supporting app”... not only is it extremely slow when it did work last year, but now the app does not work at all. The app crashes within 10 seconds of being opened on an up to date iPad... which had no problems but speed 1 year ago. The Polaroid zip WAS a favourite gift. But now I cannot even use it. Please fix the app. For an expensive product (to buy and to run) I would expect a much more user friendly interface, quicker and more thorough bug fixes, and an app that quite simply... WORKS

  • Not Happy

    I had the printer for 3 years and it’s worked a charm. It worked with the old app and worked with this one ... for about three weeks. Then the pictures were coming out blurry even though I know the pictures are quality because I am a Photographer. This blurriness has ruined several photos which is an issue when the paper costs so much money. Disappointing.

  • Very disappointed

    I must say that at first I was very pleased with this app although you do have to make sure that the image that you want to print has downloaded from the cloud first or you get a very grainy/blurry picture. But then I went to do a collage and it will not let me, every time I try to add an image after the 1st one has been chosen it just crashes every time, I have followed the instructions in the troubleshooting by uninstalling & reinstalling more times than I care to count but still it crashes when trying to choose another picture. Please can you get this sorted in an update. Thank you
