  • Garbage

    This app is absolutely 100% garbage. It is buggy, it crashes, it’s slow, it deletes your password and username, and should be illegal on the App Store!
  • Better But Not Quite There

    We recently transitioned from Dude Solutions older FSDirect and Maintenance Direct systems to Event Manager and Asset Essentials. The new systems are Much better than the old ones, but AE in particular still seems like it has a way to go before it is where it needs to be. The sales team really sold the customizability and updated interface to the web and mobile app, but I have been disappointed so far in both. Since this review is for the mobile app, I’ll stick to addressing it for now. It just seems poorly programmed. The keyboard is large and for whatever reason different than the normal phone keyboard, the resolution and scaling of text and images is very bad, and much like the web app, there is no way to hide certain features that are completely useless to us (the map for instance). I think the company has great ideas and solid functionality in their products, but the interface (whether web browser or mobile app) has always been the biggest shortcoming of the products in my opinion. I think the outstanding customer support is the only thing that has kept us using their products, but I guarantee they cut their support costs in half if they would just design better interfaces. If you’re looking for a maintenance work order system, I would not recommend Asset Essentials at this time, but I’m hopeful that will change if they continue to improve the web and mobile apps.

  • Crashes, Unusable

    Crashes after the splash screen rendering it useless. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro for reference. I’ll change the review once I can actually use the app.
  • New version 1.63.1 back working again

    Cant edit a review anymore apparently so here is an update. The version that broke things was 1.62.1. Version 1.63.1 and now 1.63.2 are back working again and see to be a little more peppy and responsive. Thanks for the feedback on previous review (and for fixing the app again)!

  • Poor excuse for a program

    App is very finicky. The whole idea of asset essentials is a waste of time. The program is non intuitive, and each section of lists are polar opposites. It is very difficult to use and there is little end user support. It is very difficult to use. It is slow and very time consuming for the end user to add data to each. The search functions are worthless. This app and the desktop program needs a complete overhaul for it to be worth any amount of money. Again, it is very difficult to use. It probably is due to the developers desire to have one program to deal with multiple types of organizations. This simply doesn’t work for our application. As a note, our end users are simply that, end users with zero program experience. It would be nice to try more things with the app but it is so cumbersome that any mistake costs more time than available. A dud. I looked at other reviews online and I must say this company either has an industry that it works for or they spend time to cancel all the negative reviews. I hope this review will save someone the misery.

  • Works better after updates

    Now able to submit new work orders. New update fixed most issues I had. Now better than trying to use browser on phone.

    This app is faulty, broken, wasteful, costly, defective, flawed, malfunctioned, bad, messy, chaos, cluttered, sloppy, poor, low, draw back, failure, did i say wasteful?, havoc, crash, ruin, JUNK!, filth, refuse, absurd, baloney, foolish, trash, garbage, rubbish, and all other words that haven’t been invented yet but they have a similar meaning of WASTE!

  • Much better than the old app

    Information at the work order level is much easier to find since the last major update
  • Maintenance

    We went from a very reliable work order system, to this. Very slow, always freezing up, goes off line/on line sitting inside of a building. I recommend you look elsewhere.
