I didn’t use it as much as I should have . We had advance tickets to the Louvre but no map to guide us to the Metro. The Conciergeat Meridian was a bit of help but the map we had not helpful.
After that we relied on our excursion guides.
We constantly were lost , rarely found the perfect bakery or chocolate shop.

Once I got used to the app (!), it was easy to navigate and gave up to date information on the daily excursions, plus all other relevant information like daily menus! and maps etc.

The app was a great way to keep track of our trip and planned excursions. It also proved us with notifications and updates. It worked well.
Best Detailed App
Avalon Go is the best detailed and user friendly app I have ever used!! (and I have used a lot). The calendar is there. The towns are there. The maps with your location and so much more. Click on town to show everything in that specific location. Whomever initiated this App needs a promotion! It is that good!!

Avalon go app
The concept of this app is great but it really needs some explanation and “how to” to accompany it. It’s not intuitive. The Avalon staff refer to it to get info but it’s not that logical.
The excursions that were selected should be updated noting which ones were selected, purchased etc. it’s frustrating to see the list of options but not the actual itinerary. The feature seems to benefit Avalon more than the passenger.
The daily itinerary (once I found it) wasn’t always updated. Maybe that’s an internal
Issue? It would be helpful to see 2 days in advance to help with planning. Not knowing when an excursion was going to start and whenend, nor the travel time, discouraged signing up for additional outings, or planning our time.
If the app did more than this I was unaware. It seems that a lot of time and effort is required to work with Avalon in general and gather needed information.

I appreciated having the app while on the cruise for information as to what the daily events were, especially when they were constantly changing and different than the original itinerary. I wish the itinerary days could have been updated as it was confusing what were the actual days plans vs the original itinerary which had changed even before we embarked.

Cruise
It is unfortunate that we only used the boat as a hotel. I don’t know if they were justified in the reasoning. First day we were going west and they said the current is too strong to navigate to west. Second and third day the excuse was the water level was too high to go under the bridges. We were not convinced. Overall it is a beautiful boat, food and service was impeccable. They took us to the 3 destinations by bus!
Supposedly they will reimburse us 50% of the cruise portion of what we paid. We don’t know what it means “cruise portion”. But the whole purpose of the trip was cruising.
