Food quality and presentation were Michelin standard. Cabin suites were maintained to 5 star standard with linen and towels freshly changed at least once a day. The views from the full length balcony windows brought the beauties of the river right to your side.
Unless your tastes go to spirits you don't need to spend an extra cent on alcohol. Its free with meals and at happy hour.
Hot drinks and snacks were available at all hours if you missed a meal due to a sleep in or an extended exploration of the interesting ports of call ashore.
Fascinating shore excursions, physical activities and after dinner entertainment round off your day if you so desire.
I highly recommend Avalon for river cruising in Europe.

Journal
Particularly liked the journal component of the App. With so much going on the during the cruise was great to be able to look back and reflect on what we had observed and experienced. A useful tool to keep me up on track
A bit glitchy
Although the AvalonGO app was helpful, it was glitchy for our cruise. The online itinerary did not match other documentation and so was confusing. It was also difficult to initiate - the version I had downloaded did not have the menus/schedules option and it was impossible to re-download. However there was valuable information when I was able to access.

Very useful app
I like that so much info is available each day and that you can use it without internet when touring. I’d have given it 5 stars but didn’t like that sometimes you have to start from the beginning to get the day you’re interested in.

Excellent app. Very comprehensive and allows you to not only be up to date on your trip but to plan ahead and consult with your travel companions.
App crashes
App crashes and iPad returns to main screen as soon as I press the login button. Have deleted and reinstalled but no change
