Volumio
If you get the right os and download it on a pc or raspberry pi it works great you can use it for old speakers with an adapter. With a raspberry you can connect and screen and see the album art it’s just a great app
Soooo buggy
Pretty similar problems to everyone else who’s negative here—can’t find the player, becomes non-functional if left a while, unpredictable connections, drop-downs can fail too. They should take a leaf from iPeng’s book. A shame iPeng can’t do Volumio.

Poor UX experience.
This could be a great app but it’s very buggy. It would often fail to find my Raspberry Pi Volumio player if I set it to ‘play’ then moved to another app and later returned to the Volumio App to select another Artist. This always required a phone re-boot to fix the issue. Now it refuses to find my player at all although the same app on an old Mac Mini 2 connects without fail very time!
When working it’s hugely irritating to find when jumping back from an artist to the artists list takes often me back to ‘A’, great if the artist was ABBA and I’m looking for AC/DC but massively annoying if the artist was Sting and I’m looking for Sparks.
It desperately needs a quick alphabetical jump search capability rather than having to tediously scroll through the artists lists every time you need to find an artist.
Has potential but needs to be far slicker to use and operationally reliable.

Poor connection
Echo other comments here of having to force/quit every time. Won’t bother paying the annual subscription again unless there’s vast improvements . To much of a faff

Really nice
Once you get everything set up, it's really nice. I'm impressed. I'm using a Pi4B with the IQaudio DAC pro hat. The interface is impressive and the options are numerous.
Uninstall last year..
Due to the app not being able to manually set IP.. I don’t allow apps to scan my network so use voluminous web based now there the option vanished tried it this year no change so deleted again zzz
Former Volumio user on Raspberry Pi
Been using Volumio on two pi’s for three years. The “hotspot” idea is a poor one. Burned image of latest Volumio and put in one of them. Can’t find it on network so tried to use this app for hotspot access. Can’t access the pi so I could configure via hotspot. Abandoned Volumio and moved to the other image shown in the Raspberry pi imager.
