It’s a neglected afterthought and an absolute embarrassment of an app that has the same old stale design and bug-ridden UI that it’s had for nearly a decade now. It’s the kind of app you’d expect from a freshman college student rather than a company that powers data solutions for half the Fortune 500.
It just barely checks enough boxes to be considered a functional music player, but you’ll quickly discover that the only reason this app still exists is so that Synology’s marketing department can legally advertise “your own personal music streaming service” or some nonsense. It’s such a shame too, considering how great the rest of the Synology OS looks and operates.
