Bof
Ses correcteSkipping songs randomly
Like others mentioned, the app constantly skip to the next song for no reason. Please fix the issue. Thanks!
Feature request: could you add the functionality to edit playlists while playing songs? A simple “Add song to playlist” function would do.If you’re planning on buying a Synology and this app is a part of your home media strategy - don’t.
It’s a neglected afterthought and an absolute embarrassment of an app that has the same old stale design and bug-ridden UI that it’s had for nearly a decade now. It’s the kind of app you’d expect from a freshman college student rather than a company that powers data solutions for half the Fortune 500.
It just barely checks enough boxes to be considered a functional music player, but you’ll quickly discover that the only reason this app still exists is so that Synology’s marketing department can legally advertise “your own personal music streaming service” or some nonsense. It’s such a shame too, considering how great the rest of the Synology OS looks and operates.Show lessMust have app!
I have a large music collection on my nas of flac music files, and it is really nice to be able to stream my own collection to my phone anywhere. I hope this app stays around because idk how my family and I would enjoy our music on our phones without.Disappointing
Missing features important to me, like gapless playback, scrubbing for AAC and Apple Lossless files (works only for mp3) and alphabetical tabs for navigating playlists. It would also be nice to be able to get detailed file info (format, bit depth, sample rate, etc). I requested these long ago, and the requests have been ignored; I guess not enough users want them, or Synology just doesn’t care.
As of April, 2024 audio playback does not work if you sign in using HTTPS and you have "modern compatibility" selected in SSL/TLS settings. You either have to switch to HTTP or change the compatibility back to intermediate, both of which are less secure.
I like the GUI of DS Audio, and no other app that I'm aware of has a similar layout. Otherwise, I'd switch immediately. Please, Synology, fix DS audio.Show lesspretty reliable, apple car play compatible
I have no complaints with this app. I moved my music collection to synology NAS and the previous music app (cloud beats) on my iphone didn’t connect easily. This one connected in a second and Inhad no issues ever since.
It’s fast, shows all my thumbnails, keeps only the music on the phone that I want, the rest stays on the NAS. It works with Apple car play.Show lessDark Mode Please
App is fine, but getting blasted by a white screen when cueing up an audiobook in bed at night isn’t fun. It’s 2024 Synology, let’s make it happen!Doesn’t play AAC encoded files
Disappointing that the OS version does not allow the play of AAC encoded files. I don’t want to have to convert all my music to a different encoding for just this app. Not sure why DS Audio doesn’t support this encoding, Apple Music does.Pretty bare bones with some annoyances
I have been a dedicated Synology user for 15+ years and I think they are great NAS devices, but Synology do phone it in when it comes to the “consumer”-focused apps that they provide. It works but it doesn’t offer a whole lot. Expect to do your metadata management elsewhere. Also, why are the locally downloaded files put in some hidden location inaccessible to the Apple Files app? It’s really annoying I can’t access them or manage them from other apps.Show lessNo not invest in synology for music
Than app is total rubbish. Very buggy. Extremely slow on times. Skips all over the place. I purchased my Synology on the promise of access across my media library. This is appalling (as is DS video). Synology, hand your heads in shame. And music lovers, look elsewhere.
