  • Cant even get an account

Cant even get to create an account. Nor via fb or email. Just says '2' and what the hell does it suppose to mean?
  • Even with update version still doesn’t work

I have contacted support on my issues and they have given me many steps that do not work. The app would be great to work with a project that I was behind since the beginning of model 2. First WiFi will not work and then my power supply went dead after just a few weeks of use.
Would love to have full functionality

  • WiFi connection

I get my product today. I try to connect it but it doesn’t connect at all. Hope it will be fixed soon.
  • Useless

Does not work. Tried to login. Reset my pw. Still says incorrect pw. Ridiculous and waste of time and money.
  • Evapolar - teething issues...

    The Evapolar itself is fantastic.

    - I bought 2 x evapolar and 2 x spare filters

    Pros:
    • looks great
    • cools and freshens
    • quiet
    • water tank is of a large capacity and easily refilled
    • usb powered (theoretically you could take this anywhere!)

    Cons:
    • App still won’t connect to my Wi-fi
    • After 10 glorious days of cool Evapolar powered air, I woke up this morning to the postman handing me a bill of approx £75 from FedEx for import tax.

    My current Setup at home:
    • iPhone 7+
    • Super fast Virgin Broadband
    • Virgin SuperHub 3.0
    • Netgear Orbi mesh router and satellite

I haven’t been able to use the app as yet but can see that the Evapolar team are aware of these teething issues due to the recent app update.

Overall, Evapolar’s hardware works well and looks great. Once the software is fixed and I can connect it to my Wi-fi then I can be truly lazy and not have to get up to switch it on.

  • Horrible product and worst app

Well. Hate writing this but probably one of the worst apps and products I’ve used in a while.

It’s 91 degrees in my apartment and I’m still dying
  • App doesn’t work

    Version 1.2, October 24, 2017.

    Pros:

    • The app tells you how to put the Evapolar 2 into WiFi mode. From there It’s easy to connect your Evapolar to the app using a plus symbol.

    Cons:

    • The app lets you connect to your Evapolar 2 easily, but then you have to manually enter in your WiFi network. The Evapolar 2 device leaves WiFi if you enter your info incorrectly. You then must start over from the beginning. This is still not fixed.

    • The Evapolar 2 only connects with 2.4 ghz WiFi connection.

•Does not work with IOS 11.1, IPhone 6s.

Still unable to connect to Evapolar 2. And I got a “cart exp” error on my device during the first week. This has not been fixed still.

    Developer Response

Hello, SwirlyKalen! Thank you for feedback! 2,4 ghz WiFi connection is needed to evaSMART, it's written in userguide and on our helpcenter. But we'll take your comment into consideration and improve usability. Please wait for next updates. Thank you:)
  • Useful App for Evapolar but missing support

The Evapolar app is useful and convenient. I love how easy it is to connect the unit to your local wifi and your phone. It’s great that you can control the Evapolar while your phone is on data instead of being connected to your local wifi.

It is still missing support for HomeKit and other smart home platforms. It is missing this great opportunity for early smart automation adopters.

  • Can’t even link my brand new device

My device seems to fail connecting to my wireless network. Not sure if this is iOS 11 related or this app. Either way, they both need work. So glad I have a $200 paperweight!!!
  • So Far So Good

Instructions were a little hard to understand and if someone else connects it appears I have to do it all again. So hopefully app updates will improve functionality there.

Once I got it connected it is working well and has some nice features. Seeing about twelve-degree difference in temperature.

Having a list of renaming options is a little odd, rather than just typing my own.

It's a new system so I expect they will work out the kinks.
