Possible malware
The cable worked as intended, but after I connected the cable and clicked the button to “Trust this computer”, I was prompted to sign into my google account (weird, since this is an iPhone). Upon giving it my google password, I start getting emails from Google saying my account has been compromised and forcing me to change my password. Same thing happened when I installed this app to update the cable’s firmware. HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. I took the cable back to the retailer. Don’t add another zombie to the botnet!Show lesstechguy651
Usual Chinese rubbish I wish I’d never purchased
The cable has little English and the box the cable comes in nor the App actually identifies which cable / model you have so one doesn’t know which SW update should be applied. Occasionally the TV shows the iPhone but is a 1 in 10 shot got done reason? Yet to find if/how full screen photos can be realised as they only show on size on screen. Currently not working and website appalling! Don’t bother buy Apple adapter- it works.Show lessFrameruk
Updating HDMI Dongle
You will need to update the dongle with a previous version of ios running on your iphone, otherwise the dongle isn’t recognised after ios update. I used an older ipad to update the firmware then connected it to my already ios upgraded iphoneDphesp
