Rarely write reviews, though I made an exception here. I read so many bad reviews for this app.
It works perfectly well if you pick the right update download package. However, this is a trial and error process and you may have to download a few and sequentially update one at a time till you find the right one that works. It’s easy to download and easy to update - a tap each step. The interface could be more explanatory, but it is intuitive and it does work - just persevere till you find the right update for your dongle.Show lessHerring Head
Works for IPhone 7 Plus
A lot of bad reviews, but it seems to me that none of them are warranted. Follow the directions and it works fine.
If I had to make an educated guess, I would bet that most people don’t realize that the adaptor needs a power source. Just use the cable that you use to charge your phone, as well as connect the HDMI to Lightning adaptor. Works like a charm!Show lessHermit Hillbilly
Can’t be an Apple product!
I bought a Lightning Digital AV Adapter to connect my iPhone and iPad to a monitor via HDMI. The only instructions on how to use the adapter since it didn’t work right out of the box were cryptic. I can’t believe this is an Apple product or that Apple wrote the instructions. Why do I even need this app?

Works for iPhone SE
The app worked for me. Just make sure the adaptor is plugged in so it can provide a charge. Then plug in the hdmi to the adaptor and the tv. Then bam works. It does emit a strange sound like static from my speaker. But my iPhone screen was definitely mirrored on my HP monitor.eb12345789

Unfortunately, if you’ve downloaded this app, you’ve already wasted your money on the company’s Lightning to HDMI cable (that won’t work without this software despite their advertising to the contrary). Sorry, you’ve been screwed, too.
The app offers a few dozen firmware updates based on what you see onscreen when you plug in their device. Unfortunately, the one that was supposed to work for me did not and I kept getting messages from my phone that the attached device is not supported.

What version is my hardware?
The app requires the operator to select the equipment model before downloading and installing firmware update to the lightning to HDMI converter. Unfortunately, there is no such information provided with or on the hardware itself, so you are left to guess and hope it works.
We tried to use the converter to stream HD video to a HDMI tv. The video stream is clunky and barely watchable.

So get the screen with the q reader which downloads this app so you can update the firmware I imagine after the usual iOS updates.
Well my version isn’t on there to update S300A1LGA07V001-A
So click the developer support button and that page fails to load . So now left with useless item that can’t used and app that doesn’t update the series I have. Waste of £20 for adapter if can’t update.Show lessBallistic Banana
