  • Not for Phones

This game needs desperately to have an update that will enable phone users to actually play the game. Even with great eye sight most aspects are way too small to read or understand. Bummer. Looks like it’s a good game but unplayable on your phone.
  • The black veil

I’ve slowly suffered my way thru this game. I’ve found the theme of underground pipes and machinery tedious. Seems like all my recent games take me down into the villains underground territory. This game held true to that. Most of the actual missing object games are terribly difficult putting missing pieces back on machinery, and triple games fused together leading to total confusion.
I’m hungry for an upbeat, fun game with many true missing object games that are FUN. Something I would want to get back to with positive characters and beautiful backdrop.
  • Wonderful!!!

Lots and lots of mini games, not too hard, but not too easy. Difficulty levels can be changed. Great storyline and graphics too...good for replays as well...
  • Different

The puzzles were a bit too odd for my taste. Switching between three scenes, trying to figure out what I was supposed to do, just didn’t add to my enjoyment. I didn’t really like the artwork, either. It wasn’t clear enough for me to know what I was looking at, some of the time. I'll pass. Played it a second time, with the same reaction. I just don't like this game. The puzzles are just bizarre and not to my liking at all.

    Third time, just as bad.

The artwork is dark and difficult to see. The puzzles are confusing, with directions that are difficult to interpret. I keep wondering how it got such a high rating.
  • Huh?

I have gone way out of my way to try to buy this game. It tells me that you can’t buy from within the game. It’s the first time I’ve gotten that message, but fine, I’ll try some other way. But no matter where I try to do it, it won’t let me. I liked the game as far as I could go and I expect that it would continue to be good. But I couldn’t say since I can’t go anywhere from here. I would think that there would be redundant opportunities to buy from an eager customer but so far, no joy. Let me know when I can finish the game.
  • Confusing and Pointless Storyline

I normally like MCF and I do not have a problem with dark games, both in subject matter and artistic style. However, I found this game to be confusing. The puzzles were either super easy or totally confusing to the point I just skipped them. Not fun. My main issue was with the storyline, particularly the bonus game. I'm a UCLA grad, I should be able to follow a storyline, yet I seriously have no idea what happened in the (very brief) bonus game. The main game ending was not much better. Also, fans of HO's may be disappointed since there did not seem to be many. As for positives: there was a journal and teleporting map, puzzle pieces to find in each scene, morphing objects in HO scenes (although I didn't even realize this until I was nearly finished with the main game).
  • Black Veil makes my top 10!

This was fun! This was my first run through, and I had to skip a few puzzles. I’m usually pretty good at them, but some were nice and tough. I like that. I will play again and try finish them all. I also love HOS, so you can never have too many of those, as far as I’m concerned. The graphics are very good where you can tell an egg-roll from a snail. The story and characters are very well done. Watch out on how addictive this is! I couldn’t put it down! I had a hard time catching all the puzzle pieces because some of the scenes were too dark. I’ve downloaded the guide, so hopefully I can work through what I missed on the first run through. I’m a tail end Baby Boomer and just love the G5 Big Fish mystery games. You can tell a lot of hard work and awesome talent went into this game. Keep them coming and thank you!
  • Challenging

I think this is so worth the money. My only issues is that many of the mini games don’t have enough directions or none at all!!
  • Too hard to read

All the pieces of paper are in a dark setting, along with a difficult font, makes it so hard to read. There’s something about this game that just isn’t pulling me in. Don’t think I will play past the trial. Sad, I usually like Eipix games
  • Great Addition to the series, but not as good as some others

This is my absolute favorite hidden object series. I actually like the adventure, story, and puzzles more than finding hidden objects. I love puzzles, and the puzzles in this series are the best. I am deducing a star because, even though I played (and always do) on the hardest level, I thought the puzzles were easier than usual and the game seemed shorter as well. I will continue to buy and play subsequent releases, but hopefully the puzzles will be more creative and challenging next time around. Also, I don’t understand why Big Fish is no longer selling the backlog of this series on the App Store. Sad only a handful of games are available.

PS- I read a couple of other reviews, and they said there were too many puzzles and they were too hard. There are hundreds of HO games to choose from that are easier to play. Stick to those and let me have this series as is!!!
