  • Bummer Game

This game may appeal to some gamers but I thought it was a total bust. I really disliked it and quit in the middle, something I don’t often do. It gave me a headache, running around a dark dreary set solving mindless puzzles with no direction. I’m glad
I got this on sale cuz it was a big waste of money. The story was fuzzy and unclear and in the end I didn’t care what happened. Besides money, don’t waste your time.
  • The Black Veil

I gave this game 5 stars due to its incredible detail and imagination. For my liking there were too many puzzles and many were too difficult. About a third less puzzles would have been about right. Despite that, I’m still giving the 5 stars as it’s so well done and for those who like hard puzzles, it’s perfect. It was also long so real value for money. Keep these coming but with fewer puzzles please.
  • Absolutely fantastic

I have played many of these games. This one has to be one of the best in visuals, puzzles, mystery and intrigue. This is beautifully done and constructed and has an incredible amount of puzzles to solve that are intriguing. The plot is unbelievable. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed playing this game. Thank you to the production staff and those that that made this such wonderful experience.
  • Eipix brings another winner!

Of all of The Big Fish Game creators that aren't given nearly enough credit, Eipix is number one! I honestly don't play anything but their series' anymore. They have stepped up the HOPA game to whole new level. I love the multi part puzzles, the mini games inside the HO areas and the artwork. Beautiful, beautiful artwork. I will probably never enjoy any of the voice over work but that's just my own personal bias. All in all, every Eipix release in 2017 has deserved a 5 star review. And I never even bother to write reviews anymore. I just hope BF keeps them in board.
  • 5 Star game!

Challenging puzzles, interesting plot twists and storyline. These things are better than books. Game puzzles are fascinating. Only complaint was: Where is a bonus round? lol It was nice and long, however so not necessary.
  • Puzzles impossible!

I’m a LONG time player of BFGs and the main interest for me are adventure games and the puzzles..couldn’t care less about HOGs. Rarely used the skip button on those until this game! To say they were hard is an understatement... I even had to use the hint button for the hidden objects! If you want a real challenge, go for it... but I found it incredibly frustrating. The interactive map is kinda weird too. I’m sticking with it til the end since I paid, but the fun factor rates a negative since I needed so much hand-holding to get through it.
  • Where's the bonus game?

I really enjoyed this offering. It is dark and creepy, so if you don't want that, you should probably avoid the game. But the description said there's a bonus game and I do not see it in the extras menu. It is not offered from the start menu, either. I redownloaded the game and replayed it just to see if I somehow missed it. It doesn't appear to be there.
  • Crap.

This is not MY mystery case files. Nothing like the other ones.
Map is awful, a circle with slashes in them. Feels dated even though new. Bad story line. Puzzles very hard even on custom.
Bad instructions for puzzles. No hints to get you to look for puzzle pieces, or trophy’s. Morphing objects in hops, don’t show up right away you have to sit there. I will never buy a game again without trial first. Oh and this is from 2017. Since big fish is no longer showing dates on when games 1st came out.
  • More dark dreary ...

Same ole same ole.... dark, dismal boring with nothing appealing except the overall concept IF it were to be designed and played without the stupid supernatural occult baloney.

Why won't they design a true mystery or detective series without the boring magic ...tired of dark, paranormal themes ...games can be fun and spooky.. but now because if over doing the genre these games have lost all appeal and are just NOT fun anymore with this dull theming!!

Give us some spooky but wholesome substance and a real plot.... not this dragging on hoping it gets better drivel
  • Addictive!

Here’s what I like most about this game. You don’t need energy, or lives, or anything else to play. You can get the trail version for free, and if you like it, you can buy the full version for pocket change. No other in-app purchases. It follows a story from start to finish. You have to be pretty clever to solve some of the puzzles, but if you can’t figure them out, you can download the guide, for free, and it gives you the solutions. The only thing I don’t like about the guide is it keeps pestering you to turn on notifications, even after you click cancel. The only downside, is it does finish, and you have to make a new profile to play it again, but why would you? It was very satisfying for the price. I don’t want to play it again, unless I get bored and forget how it ends. It’s a very refreshing change from most of the games in the store.
