Not a 5% Return

I deposited $100 as a test run. I emailed the company at one time, concerned I wasn’t on track to make the 5% return as promised, but I never got a reply back. I just pulled all my money after the bonds reached maturity, and only made $1.27 in 90 days. The app was still telling me to leave my money so I could make X amount of dollars, which I never came close to. I didn’t make a 5% return, customer service was non-existent, and it’s a pain to set up. I would suggest looking elsewhere to invest. I’m closing my account.

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! I'm not sure where you reached out, but we have multiple customer service reps that are available via our live chat feature (bottom right-hand corner, orange option) Monday through Friday, 9-5 Eastern time. This app is great but UI is terrible

You guys seriously need a complete redesign of this app’s UI. I’m a developer and work on UI often and I can def say that this is just an ugly look. It’s not modern and very glitchy. Login especially is bad. You’ll go back to the app and nothing works. You’ll have to close the app then reopen then it logs you out automatically. Put some more effort into this app. Most people will be accessing it from here. What you guys do is fantastic but the developers are giving off a very lazy design.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out! Our developers are currently in the works of redesigning the framework of our application. Our updated app should be live late this year. Thanks for providing feedback! Btw if you have specific feedback we'd love to hear it! You can send us a email over at support@worthy.us

This is not an app

But by far the most frustrating thing is the login. Fix this at least and I could go up to 2.5 stars?

Solid way to grow your money

Easy way to invest with low risk 5% a year which is a nice percentage. Start growing your money today!

My Money Is Stuck!

“For security and fraud reasons” you aren’t allowed to change your external funding source unless you have a long history with Worthy. In my case my external funding source doesn’t exist anymore- I got rid of that bank account. Customer service told me I can’t link a new account until I have a longer transaction history with them. My only options are to withdraw my current bonds (to a bank account that doesn’t exist anymore) or deposit more money into Worthy to increase my transaction history. (Using funds from an external bank account that doesn’t exist anymore + I can’t add a new bank account to remove my Worthy funds to). Vicious cycle that doesn’t make sense, so now my money is trapped with this ridiculous company.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. If the other account has been closed you can change your account after initiating a purchase of one bond. When the transfer fails with the correct account closed error code you will be able to select a new bank account. Please reach out to our customer service tool (bottom right-hand corner, orange option) if you have any questions. Thanks!

App Stinks

Went with 3 stars because the interest you get on your money is legit, which is awesome, but this app is terrible. The computer version of the website is better than the app somehow. Not that hard a fix if you get a good app developer

I am loving the app

So for starter yes the app is not perfect (could be better to flip to native app). This being said concept is great. One thing I am unhappy with is lack info on how they get returns and how can we tell the company is doing

It’s not an app

It’s just a shortcut to a website, would be nice if it was an actual app.

WARNING: NOT AS RISK FREE AS YOU THINK

Look, I’m not gonna discourage you from getting this app, but their are some things you should know about it before you put your hard earned cash in.

This is NOT a risk free investment. These are NOT traditional bonds your buying.

Traditionally, when you purchase a bond you are essentially buying debt. You get an interest rate (AKA a “dividend yield” or “coupon rate”) until the bond matures.

The person your loaning you’re money too is usually trustworthy. Like Apple, Microsoft, or the U.S government. These bonds are rated as SAFE. They are insured by the federal government, so if theirs some catastrophe triggers by mass bankruptcy, you won’t lose your money.

THESE BONDS FOLLOW DIFFERENT RULES. They are not FDIC insured, and they are NOT rated. Since the bonds aren’t rated, you don’t know if the company your losing money too is safe or about to collapse. Additionally, if the company you borrowed money from goes bankrupt, you will lose all your money.

So your loaning your money to small business who may or may not be barely afloat, may or may not survive, and aren’t investigated by a ratings agency to make sure the companies are in good condition.

But don’t let this discourage you, just remember that if an investment is having more reward, it’s also more risky.

This investment is MORE risky than most bonds. Just know that before you begin. But, before you close out the app and delete it forever: remember that stocks are often as risky as this too.

Theirs a million financial instruments that are tenfold times risky than this (that you can access on this app store!!!) so feel free to begin investing. I will as well, but just don’t dump every penny you have here. Diversify your investments.

Great Way to Save

I like the principle behind these bonds and it is an easy way to invest and receive a good return. My four rating has mostly to do with app performance.
There are a few things with which I have issues. For me, using an iPad/iPhone, the app will show blank when I open it so I end up deleting the app and reinstalling it. It appears to work the first time after reinstalling but then is blank again when I try to open it a few days later. I usually then go out to the website where everything seems to work OK.
I would like to be able to identify when a transaction is a round-up, recurring, or interest related. Used to be able to identify this by looking at the transactions but that seems to have been changed unless I’m missing something.
I would like to be able to sign into the app with a pin or Face ID.
I would also like to be able to have more than one monitoring source.
My contact with this group when asking questions has been great. They are helpful and friendly. I like that I am notified when a transaction has been started.
