Crap app!

I’ll second “a pilot guy”’s comment. Same issue. Can’t enter info as the flt progresses. Have to joy everything down, then enter it when the flt is done. Or, do like our other pilot does and enter it into ForeFlight when inflight then transpose those numbers over once the flt is done. Stupid.
How come schedaero and ForeFlight you can do it but not this app??!! Lame.

I am sorry you are having such a poor experience. The app is setup to allow you to enter partial times and save as the flight progresses. If you are not experiencing this, please reach out to opsupport@avianis.com and they can help run down the issue.

It’s Syncing about it….

I hate this app….
Ever since it rolled out at our company they keep talking about improvements but I’m afraid it’s just like it’s Wheels-up ownership; not there yet, maybe never.

It’s constantly Syncing…. The pinwheel of death pops up on the screen and there goes 2-15 minutes of my time. But I’m not sure what is syncing because anything input offline disappears.
I should start billing my company for my time this app wastes. Enter data…. It disappears as you enter it. Try to update duty times… nope just add different duty even if it conflicts with existing duty.
Why can’t I fill in data blocks as the flight progresses? I have to record everything on paper then fill out the log at the end and then save it. Can’t fill in the data blocks as you go then save when complete. It erases the data. Save a weight an balance…. Maybe, maybe not, there is no indication. Add an hour to you duty day to deal with this app.
It makes Pilot life harder not easier.
Honestly, I could write a shared spreadsheet that would collect all the same data, be time stamped, have better metric output and it would be work smoother than this.

The developers know nothing about aviation. Probably accounting and software engineers made the basic architecture the way they think it should be and never talked to end users, now it’s a patch on a patch when it should be scrapped and started over with end users input.

I am sorry to hear you are having such a poor experience. We did just launch a new version this week so make sure you have the most up to date app. Please reach out to opsupport@avianis.com with more details on your issues and they can help to run them down. We also have a new update coming soon that significantly speeds up interaction/load times on the key schedule/log pages

Yep still junk…

Not Pilot operationally friendly.. can’t tell you how many times I get a call from flight control that my weight and balance is missing or other data. It was not designed with a line pilot in mind. ForeFlight should take this over as they know how what pilots need.

Requires Frequent Removal and Reinstall

Terribly unstable -

Getting Better

Finally works on Android too, hooray for the small victories.

But the biggest thing killin’ me?? The splash screen fan disc turns the wrong way!!! Their turbine is running backwards…

Getting better

Not an easy app to use because of various frustrating issues.
- Slow sync that interferes with making entries
- Only allows portrait orientation, making iPad with keyboard really hard
- Crashes

This is worse than dinosaur FOS

At least FOS was efficient lol. What a jammed in neutral, cumbersome process this is to work.

Captain

What a horrible system.

Utterly Useless

Had high hopes that Version 3 would load in less than 5 minutes, and stay loaded. No. This app is still utterly useles as a scheduling tool.

From hot garbage to merely lukewarm garbage

After over a half hour of syncing and a day of waiting after I’d given up, this version (3.0) finally started working.

That version 3.0 is literally the first usable version of this app should give you and indication of the quality. I still can’t see the aircraft schedule with it (only my own personal schedule), but they finally realized they need to store data for offline use because we often don’t have an internet connection.

Avianis overall does many things, and somehow manages to do every one of them poorly… But at least this version is finally usable. I’ll add a star for that.

Previous version review:
I had high hopes for being able to get notifications when I’m assigned to a flight or it changes. Alas, I can’t even launch the app on my iPhone X with iOS 12.3.1. I get a splash screen for several seconds and then it quits back out to the home screen. Update: The new version, released 6/25/2019, doesn’t even get to the splash screen. I get a blank white screen and then quits. :(
