  • Chargers stop working

    Their chargers stop working and when contacting support they are not sure what the issue is and they don’t what their error codes mean, I’ve called many times and no one their knows, so it’s not just one person who is incompetent, would not recommend their products until they can sort fix their issues with the products and give their support team enough information to be able to troubleshoot issues

  • Chargefox more like charge fail

    Twice I have tried to use charge fox and it never works. The first time it took me 3-4 goes and swapping stations to finally getting it work. Support was good and refund the money for being difficult. Today the station didn’t work again after three goes. I rang support and this lady was just difficult would cut me off and refuse to let me talk. I gave up and left.

  • Unreliable charge stations.

    On my trip up the north coast I encountered 2 stations with faults. At one that I tried for 30 minutes to try and charge, I called support and was told that the station had had a fault for several months but wasn’t indicated in the app. Very frustrating.

    Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. The real-time status and availability of all chargers is available on the app. We encourage all drivers to check the app to avoid a station that is in-use or in the rare case one is awaiting repairs.
  • The best EV charging app and platform

    Chargefox has more chargers than all the others, app is easy to use, customer support is great! I’ve tried the rest and easily the best, constantly updating with new features as well.

  • Misleading or deceptive app?

    App clearly displays certain charging stations are free to users with a subscription, but then charges are applied to your account. Chargefox claims that only some of the bays indicated as free are actually free! So their UI is either terrible at best or deceptive at worst. To make matters worse, the bays they claim are actually part of the subscription are incompatible with the OEM supplied vehicle equipment. What is the point of having a subscription that includes bays you can’t use!? Customer service incapable of comprehending why a misleading or deceptive app is unacceptable and refused to refund charge.

    If you were incorrectly charged then please reach out to our support team so we can investigate and issue a refund if necessary. Charging equipment is either CCS2/Type 2 or Chademo and compatible with all Electric Vehicles.
  • Dreadful support…..

    Most ChargeFox chargers don’t work most of the time. They keep pushing out uptime stats that are clearly bs to anyone with experience trying to use their network.

    The only response you ever get from support is “we don’t own the chargers and have let the owner know”. In some cases chargers still showing on their network have been broken for MORE THAN A YEAR. Why still show them? Clearly they will never be fixed.

    You also get the same bs “We don’t own the chargers” response to chargers that are owned by NRMA who own ChargeFox. It’s just gaslighting of the highest order.

  • Company going downhill

    When they were a startup Chargefox were responsive and agile if there was a problem they’d fix it pretty quickly. Nowadays faulty/inoperable chargers are the norm and customer service is non existent. I had hoped after the NRMA buyout things would improve but they haven’t they’ve only gotten worse. 24x7 phone support never answers and tickets logged are not responded to. Don’t rely on their chargers if you are travelling regionally.

  • App and faulty chargers

    Don’t expect just because the app tells you a station is online that it is… I spent the last 28 hours in Cunnamulla QLD charging on a 13 amp outlet at a pub rather than spending my Australia Day with family… Both stations showed online, both the tritium 75kW and the AC charger, both offline…

    Use this app with caution and always plan for an alternative as 50% of the time with Chargefox you will need one.

  • Woeful reliability of chargers

    In the 2.5 years of EV ownership, it's been an uphill battle to charge at Chargefox chargers on the Gold Coast in Australia.
    The chargers are almost always broken and not available or running at a reduced speed
    Service of the chargers by Tritium is non existent and take months to get back to proper working order only to blow another component a few days later
    The app is fine but the overall experience of trying to find a working charger is horrible

  • Unreliable app and chargers

    Given EV’s are relatively new and public chargers are even newer, it baffles the mind on how unreliable Chargefox chargers are. One or more of my local chargers and constantly out of order and aesthetically, they look like they’ve been around since the 90’s. Evie chargers look fresh and new. Need to step your game up, Chargefox.

    The app is okay but for some dumb reason, even though I’ve set my charge limit to 100%, it always cuts off at 80%. It takes 2 more attempts (after hanging the bowser and replugging) to get it above that, with the highest charge percentage I’ve had being 94%.
