Can’t add a booster
I’m connected to my home WiFi, but when trying to add a booster, it says: “You need to be on your home WiFi to proceed.” Useless app.
Poor Quality
App continuously won’t connect to my account. So if I need to make a change to a schedule, I can’t access it to reconnect a certain device or stop/change a schedule. Also, at times I try to un-pause a device and it takes several attempts.
Telus Connect App
When it works, it’s great. We have had repeated issues while controlling our children’s devices in the app. We pause their wifi and then, the next day, go to allow them access again and the app does not work “Oops, there’s been a problem”. Wifi still works fine in the house but the paused devices cannot be un-paused. Go through the routine of rebooting, uninstalling and changing passwords. Nothing changes. Then, usually the next day, it works again. Very frustrating.

Thankfully, this came in useful because my 1 friend won’t stop listening to trash brain rot on TikTok. I can remove his service
Oops… Something went wrong
Oops… Something went wrong devices not showing up. And in the network tab modem is grey and saying I have no boosters connected when I have 2. Been on 2 service calls and still no solution. Please treat your paying customers better and fix the problem. Wish we had more choices until we do, I’m stuck waiting on Telus

Overall I’m extremely dissapointed
I never review apps, but this one is so bad I have to say something.
The app itself has barely any functionality at all. You can change your wifi SSID and set family profiles, but that’s it.
Basic networking information is either missing or inaccurate. For instance it tells me every single device on my network is connected via Ethernet, even though most are connected via wifi. I have Telus wifi-plus and it only presents my extenders (airties) as a network device like any other, and not a wireless access point.
I’ve tried multiple times to book an appointment with their wifi experts, but the appointments are always at least a week out and they have yet to call me during my scheduled appointment. When I call regular tech support I’m just told to book an appointment through the app. Beyond frustrating.
Overall my internet connection is great, but this app is shockingly bad.

Very Glitchy
I have wasted more time with tech support at Telus because this app doesn’t do what it’s meant to. Like setup guest wifi. The worst thing about this app is you have to wait 24-48 hours for changes to appear (if you’re lucky). Both Telus and the developer of this app need to sit down together and review the interaction between the app and the back end system. It’s a poor combination.

Helps control internet usage
Had issues recently (could not unpause a profile), but found deleting the app and redownloading the app fixed the issue.
I appreciate being able to assign devices to a profile, so that after my child’s bedtime, each device listed on that profile, are shut down. My partner can still access the internet from their devices, but my child cannot.
