  • Low fees, easy to use

    So far this service has been a great experience for me. Ordered my card and topped up my account seamlessly and was able to get started buying gold. The fees are reasonable and all clearly marked out in the FAQs. Purchases with the card work as expected and Apple Pay works too.

    My only gripe is the quality of the card. Card is sturdy, however It’s the old style with raised numbers. Mine came with half of the gold paint rubbed off the numbers. Not the end of the world but a bit annoying. If they made the numbers printed and added tap support it would be… golden.

  • Good For What It Is.

    Glint as a whole is not completely a bad idea in fact it’s quite a good idea & intelligent app however I have quite few apps that centre around saving or investing money.

    My main concern and drawback which despite only being one is the deposits & withdrawals not being automatic especially as they have a set up bank transfer system where other similar apps immediately are able to deposit & withdraw within seconds.

    Hopefully as Glint grows with its app & company they can gradually afford to upgrade their infrastructure & systems in place.

    For the moment I’ll say the service is acceptable but mediocre & can be much better than it already is.

  • Hidden step

    Completed all of the steps listed to do a bank transfer and then received an email saying Congratulations my account is now open and fully registered. So I then initiated a transfer through my bank that got processed. Four days later when the money still hasn’t shown up in my Glint account I receive a broken English email stating “This is friendly reminder that we are waiting for your bank statement to establish ownership on your bank account.” Nowhere on Glints website or app is this final step ever mentioned or let alone how to complete it. This is EXTREMELY unprofessional and needless to say I was forced to cancel the transfer and sadly reconsider using Glint’s services at all.

The reason a portion of your bank statement is requested is so that we can verify the funds are coming from an account in your name, more specifically, when your bank does not include it in the transfer itself. Since we are not a bank this is how we are able to complete this one-time verification. Our records show that our client support staff did reach out to you via your registered e-mail address on the day your transfer was received to confirm we received it and, also, to request a portion of your bank statement for the above reason. After we send the initial e-mail, we always like to send a follow-up as a friendly reminder when we have not received a response, which is why your funds were still not applied to your account four days later. We would like to thank you, again, for your feedback and for pointing out a typo in our follow-up e-mail. We have made the correction and we, also, fully understand your point on this potentially additional step not being mentioned. We have since raised your feedback to our management and tech team to ensure we make the appropriate corrections to our FAQs.   • Great App

    Have only had the app for two weeks, but great so far. Also reached out to customer service and they were very prompt in getting back to me and helping. Love having this as an option as the Federal Reserve Note dies. Looking forward to getting my card in the mail!
  • Connection Error.

    I’ve been trying to create an account for a few days now and every time I set up all my information and go to confirm my account and never loads. Then when I close out the app and re-launch it it says that there’s a connection error and the app can’t connect to the server. This is very disappointing and discouraging.

  • Like this concept

    Really like the concept of holding and spending in gold, especially with today’s rampant inflation and the decreasing of purchasing power with fiat currencies. Love that I can use my glint Mastercard to pay for things so I can put some of my savings in gold and not worry so much about the rampant money printing they are all doing. The concept is well executed in the app too. So far so good.

    This has got to be the coolest app I’ve experienced. So simple to use. I just ordered my debit card. I sent the team a feature I would love to see that makes buying gold easier and that reoccurring purchases and it’s already on their roadmap. Looking forward to growing with this app. Keep up the great work !!!

  • My view of the gold card

    Suggested by the Digital asset investor who I listen, I went to the glint website, where there was a link to the app download it in no time and follow directions to deposit some funds in order to buy the gold. This took about five minutes altogether. Then ordered my card to come in the mail another 60 seconds, then went back and bought gold with most of my funds. The whole process took less than 12 minutes. Very happy on the easeOf signing up for this card and since signing up my account has increased as the price of gold has gone up slightly
