Leave a Review F1 TV
I’m in the drivers seat
Love F1 TV for all the many views it provides during each segment of the race weekend. Love the grid walk with Will Buxton - he does manage to let me know just where my favorite drivers are starting. Best is when the view is from a visor cam - I’m right in the middle of the race. It is most helpful that I may call up the practice or qualifying or race if I miss it in the original broadcast. Thank you.
I am pleased to have the addition of Ruth Buscombe as a commentator. Her insights are always thoughtful. Laura and Lawrence are engaging and I look to see who they have managed to interview - always respectful but press for answers. No ‘softball’ pitches from this team. I like hearing from Alex Brundle to explain different points of view about tire wear or when a tire ‘gets in the window’.
Alex Jencks and Joylon Palmer, along with DC, are a terrific commentating team and my race would be incomplete without them.Show lessF1 fan for 5 decades and Overall pretty good
I use this app for every F1 race as well as some other formula races too as I live in the USA and generally it’s pretty good.
There’s a lot of lag from the live event, sometimes over a minute, and at least 30 seconds between the feeds available on here. If you weren’t aware of what actually happening at the race track, you probably wouldn’t know. There are also times when there’s so much internet lag that the so called live feeds are really blocky, or just won’t play at all.
I also don’t like how for the last season we no longer get the option to watch the world feed of the pre race show. Watching Martin Brundle doing the grid walk is quite often the best part of the weekend and we no longer get this, at least in the US. But did the price come down from last season to reflect the reduction in available live material, of course not, it went up.
Having said that, generally this app work reasonably well, I do think they need to figure out how to fill the gaps where the international live feed has commercials, and all we get is silence. But this is the best way I have found to watch F1 if you don’t have cable or satellite TV and a subscription to the channel that it’s shown on over here.Show lessWhy no calendar and notification on the tv app?
Why is there no calendar information and reminder on the tv app?
// Leaving my previous review for posterity. << Title: Scammy app deserving of 0 star. >> It’s criminal how unreliable and unstable this app is. It’s so bad, I hope Apple gives us the option to give apps like this no star or some way to clearly warn others to avoid this sham. The experience is akin to Russian roulette: you never know when it’s going to ruin your day, but you can bet your subscription it will. Every app has bugs, but the best developers, at the very least, provide solutions to problems and aren’t completely clueless to why errors keeping popping up. What does BM2001 mean? Beats me. BM2301? Who knows. How about the red circle icon? Your guess is as good as mine. For an app intended to enable more people access and enjoy F1, this garbage app—devoid of the spirit of excellence and passion—feels like it was built by developers who are not F1 fans. Perhaps, therein lies the problem.Show lessDeveloper Response
