  • One of the BEST I’ve ever played!

Quite possibly the greatest escape/puzzler I’ve ever played! It is perfectly balanced in just about every respect: intuitive navigation, smooth camera movements, and beautiful graphics; customizable control settings; an effective hint system; and much longer and immersive than you’d think.

My only criticisms would be 2 aspects that lead to some confusion within the game. First, the free trial period ends with a popup screen asking you to buy the full game to continue while proclaiming “Explore 13 rooms. Endless hints.” Which happens right after you’ve accessed 12 rooms so it sounds like there were only 13 rooms total (which turned me off from purchasing until other reviews won me over). It really should say “Explore 13 MORE rooms”.

Secondly, two particular items that remain in your inventory at the end which seem useable (drag & drop like other items) but with nowhere to use them. I know now that they are only meant to grant you new passive abilities, but there is no obvious indication to their purpose. Would be helpful if these items were restricted from dragging (like the camera and photos) or had accompanying text describing their use.

  • Thank God for the map

Overall I enjoyed the game and puzzles within. It got exponentially easier to navigate once I figured out there was a map and each room labeled. I definitely needed the camera in game because it marked the room number on it. Unfortunately though it only stored 20 pictures before I got an error. If it was unlimited I think this would be better. There is just not much chance at remembering where each room is on your own. A few rooms were also labeled one number but had multiple subrooms and that was a bit tricky figuring out. I also wish the map and fast travel option within it would have been introduced in the tutorial. In fact, I wish the tutorial would have had an concrete ending. It just sorta stopped after the first door (I think). A few more pieces of guidance in game mechanics and I would have been totally happy.

Oh and the only other odd thing was that with the new artifact for walking on ceilings seems to not totally work. Meaning once I was up there I actually couldn't get back down. I had to fast travel to another room to get back on the floor. There wasn't any intro to the artifact powers so I was blindly clicking everywhere I could find, but no purple area showed up that allowed me to go back down. That should definitely be remedied if possible.

  • Epic game!

What an excellent game! I loved it! The puzzles are many and varied, the graphics are detailed and well executed, and the interface is easy to use and sophisticated in what it offers to the gaming experience. It's way beyond the first installment in the level of quality. I feel this is a major new game in the escape adventure genre and yes.... I'll say it.... it's very Roomish. There were little flaws here and there but overall it worked beautifully, the map was super helpful, transitions were quick, and the save game function never failed.... even when I forgot to back out properly. And it's really long. I couldn't believe how much there was to do and discover and puzzle over! Such a satisfying gaming experience! Well done, David Adrian, and thank you! I'll be on the lookout for your next games... and I hope there will be many. Update: I just replayed this game after 3 years. It’s still just as great! Thank you, David! Now I’m off to replay Legacy 3. Looking forward to Legacy 4 or whatever your next game will be. Hope it comes soon!
