they need to invest a tiny bit of time/money/energy into making a very basic app that isn’t complete trash like this. i don’t even know where to begin. they should be embarrassed. you’d think the dev would a shred of pride.dg244
Needs a lot of work
Not sure what time zone is showing on the “program” graph but it’s not my time zone. Green dot on “program” graph seems to be in the wrong place. Why wouldn’t it automatically log each firing since the app knows it is firing? Could be good with a little time invested in the app.EJSDCA
Functional... barely
Not much more to say than the other reviews. Layout issues galore - I'd love to split-screen the app on ipad, but full screen doesn't even layout correctly and you can't get to buttons/options sometimes. Loses connection / sometimes shows idle during a firing on my iPad, but works fine on my iPhone. Graph sometimes shows current temp dot, sometimes not. Firing time formatting is buggy. Haven't used other features yet.
Happy to pay for a fixed app, or happy to contribute as a software developer if they open sourced or whatnot.zlrenner
Bring this app into the present
This app is so 1980’s. I would’ve been thrilled to have this app right next to my IBM PC (floppy disk only). I agree. Hire a designer/programmer and get this right. L&L should be demanding a better product for its kilns.123abcqwertyuiop
Absolute bodge job
This app sort of works, therefore 2 stars. But it is so poorly designed and buggy that it’s painful to use. There’s so much potential here to have what should be a very simple app that can bring pottery forward in terms of technology but this is absolutely one of the worst apps I’ve ever had to use. What’s going on?
Until recently, this app was fine. It gave me temperature in all firing zones, duration of firing, etc. in an easily readable table. Now, the zones are displayed vertical and the rest of the information (what I can see) is horizontal. I said “what I can see” because the bottom lines are cut off and I can’t scroll down. When I hit the settings button, it goes to a screen that asks me to claim or unclaim my kiln and the back button doesn’t work, so if I want to check temp, I have to close it and go back in.
This latest change is very frustrating. Maybe they are trying to make me get a premium subscription? Not gonna work. Just go back to the way it was!JApottery
Buggy. Would love to see past firings
This app could be so great, but it’s lacking at the moment.
The graph feature also shows the green dot sometimes and not others. It also doesn’t show the correct time for where the green dot is. It will say 18:00 when it’s really 13:00.
It would also be really nice to have a log of each firing saved in the app so you can see how long it took from start to finish, different segments data, etc. on each firing you do. Having to go out to the kiln to look up this info is cumbersome and takes forever on the controller.
