Absolutely useless +unable to log in
I used the app yesterday and it was logged in with my account like normal. Open the app today and it abruptly logs me out. I go to the login page and attempt to log in using the login credentials saved in my passwords (I know it is 100% correct login details) and it just throws an error message from their app simply saying: “fail” - what a joke. This was the first and last time I buy any of their products…

Daylight savings time
Clock did not automatically change hour for end of daylight savings time. Alarm rang too early. Grrr. It only changed time once I opened the app to sync it.
Bug: Fahrenheit doesn’t display in app
With the Qingping air monitor lite, setting the temp to Fahrenheit changes the display on the unit, but the app still shows Celsius. Annoying, but still better than IOS Home.
Impossible to use without network connection
I don’t know what kind of information Qingping wants to harvest every single time when opening the application, but it makes it impossible to use to change or set any alarms on the CGD1 alarm clock when in the forest cabin without any internet or cell connection.
Until this is being addressed I recommend avoiding buying Qingping products, as the app makes them unusable.

You never know if data is actual :o
I’m using it with few Air Monitors Lite and most annoying problem is that it shows readings as „Now” even if device lost connection or is turned off since Yesterday.
So you look at outdated readings and app shows them as current ones!

terrible privacy policy
The app has a very terriable privacy risk. All data will be uploaded to servers in other country. Developers should allow air data to be recorded only locally and exported locally at all without being connected to the Internet. Developers use the convenient function of email export to induce users to open Internet permissions and cause all data to be uploaded automatically. The crude behavior of some countries is quite disgusting.

No issues at all!
Works well! Please restore dark theme!
Worked perfectly
Got a Qingping Motion & Light Sensor for Apple HomeKit, setup and working perfectly. Updated the firmware no issues. I can change the settings I’d expect to be able to.
The app works!
I recently purchased a QingPing air quality monitor lite because I saw it supports Apple HomeKit and it would be a great addition to my IoT setup.
Looking at the old one star reviews and comments of problems with registration and looping screens it didn’t give me a feeling of confidence going in. However, I was pleasantly surprised that everything works!
I don’t normally write reviews, but I think this deserves a review to update those coming in that the smart device they have purchased has functional app and services.
So I am in Canada, and I was able to:
- Register an account in the QingPing+ app with my gmail.
- Receive verification code to my email.
- And complete my registration.
Then for Apple Home:
- I was able to add the device using the Apple Home app by scanning the HomeKit QR sticker under the air monitor. It scanned and found the device. And magically setup everything correctly. No manual wifi setup or strange giving wifi password nonsense. It simply worked.
The QingPing+ app worked as expected. The interface is nice and clean. The data from the air quality monitor streams to both the App and Apple Home in real time. And the QingPing app has a historical log for each data point. That’s fantastic!
But not everything was smooth sailing. While experimenting with the app, I found that my device had a firmware upgrade available. I pressed to upgrade and it was fairly fast (about 2-3 minutes). But upon finishing upgrading, the device rebooted and showed E2 error on the PM2.5 and PM10 sensor. It can be seen on the app and the device. I was super scared that the firmware upgrade may have wrecked my brand new device. I calmed down and did what any sane person would do. I rebooted the device by holding the power button. Upon bootup all the sensors were working and the error was gone. Phew! What as spook!
I write this review because after much research, I found that the little smart air quality monitor had the best design and built. I used to own a fake $30 dollar CO2 monitor which gave random reading and incorrect information. The QingPing Air quality monitor lite has a real CO2 sensor that gives accurate and precise data that I can rely on. After getting my package from Amazon, I came to write a review to give real feedback to the people developing this device and the services around it, and let them know that I enjoy using it. I hope this review will help others purchasing this air quality monitor (among other products). Which will ultimately help keep this product and it’s services running for me and everyone using it.
Thank you. I give it 5 stars!

Reverse engineer the FW
This is Chinese spyware. A mic is indeed inside and other components. It also overlays for screen capture as you can test by using accessibility controls to attempt to invert like any other modal.
