Recycle
Response from developer
After you have a Virtual Recycling balance of at least $18.27, you can transfer all your funds to yourself via any gift card for example Amazon Gift Card, etc or via PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, etc
I love the app

We could start using foot steps again in the future… still thinking about it… Thanks for the stars

Within about 15 seconds after a full-screen ad is displayed, a cross icon is also displayed in either the top-right or top-left corner of the ad. Just tap it to close the ad. If you don’t see it, just wait for a few more seconds. Now that you know how to close the ad, could you please change your one star to five stars? Thanks :-)
Don’t waste your time on this app

You probably didn’t read the following statement located towards the very top of the App Description: VERY IMPORTANT Your bonus CAN ONLY be sent to you after your "Transferred" amount displayed in your Account is at least $13.27. Now that you have, could you please change your 2 stars to 5 stars? :-) Thanks
Fraud, probably

Fortunately for you, the app features a Customer Service button that you can tap and provide Customer Service with your wonderful design ideas. In the meantime, given that you find the app convoluted, we strongly recommend that you use it in “Simple” mode. Just go to the menu, and at the very top, switch on “Simple.” ******************** While you scratch your head trying to figure out how you earn money on “virtual recycling”, they are making money by serving you ads after every attempt[ed] interaction. >>> We apologize that you’ve found it important to scratch your head while using our app. Please note that the app doesn’t require you to figure out how you earn money. All the app requires you to do — if you’re interested in Virtual Recycling — is scan your items by tapping the “Scan” button located on the Home page and then recycle them by tapping the “Recycle” button located in the menu. The reason you find the app convoluted is probably because you’re spending time doing things the app doesn’t require you to do. For example, “figuring out how you earn money.” The app doesn’t require you to figure that out…
Best app ever
Not sure
Update 7/23/21
To the developer - thank you for your response. I’m sorry if I offended you in anyway. Your response seemed quite intense, at least to me. Just want to encourage you to remember that I simply hold an opinion and a lot of your response to my skepticism about the app is difficult to prove there for hard for me to believe. Like I said going to keep plugging along with it and look forward to these new change/ come September. Power to the people you say cash out $50 regularly even with all of the glitches in the app; that’s a lot of consumption but it’s good they are recycling.

We always give detailed or — as you’ve put it: intense — responses to our reviews. The reason is never because we’re offended but rather because we have a strong desire to give the reviewer a glimpse into our mindset. ******************** Power to the people you say cash out $50 regularly even with all of the glitches in the app >>> The app crashes due to third-party software that we use to display ads. We can’t fix the software because we don’t own it. On 07/26/21, we’re going to release a new version of the app with that software removed. We will re-integrate it after the third-party fixes it. ******************** The whole interface feels really sketchy though. >>> We’ve designed our interface to be as simple as possible so that a 4-year-old, a 100-year-old, and anyone else can understand it as soon as they see it. Additionally, this app is available globally: an interface that is easily understandable by certain people in certain parts of the world may not be as easily understandable by certain people in other parts of the world hence the need for absolute simplicity. Opinion: The simpler something is, the sketchier it may appear to some. For example, compare the first car ever made to the best car today. ******************** You also have to wait until you hit $50 to cash out which takes an extremely long time. >>> We have some users that regularly hit $50 in about two weeks. If we didn’t, we would certainly have decreased the requirement from $50 to about $25 or less. That said, most users have a hard time hitting $50. Therefore, in September 2021, we’re going to change our reward model so that users can cash out anytime they want. For example, one will be able to cash out after hitting $1, $2, $3, or whatever. However, with the new model, it will be even harder to hit $50 but you won’t need to since you will be allowed to cash out anytime. ******************** I’m more than half way there and if I can’t cash out at $50 definitely reporting and leave a real negative review. >>> Several people cash out frequently after getting to $50. We have some who even wait until $150. If people were not able to cash out, several real negative reviews would already exist about that and the App Store would have probably already suspended our app. ******************** I really enjoy the motivation behind this app. Nothing else like it that I know of. >>> Thanks
I’m changing my review

By default, your Virtual Battery has a 0% charge. When you walk, the battery charge increases from 0% to a higher value. 73,920 footsteps are required in order to get a 100% charge. When you recycle some items or sell your footsteps, the battery charge decreases. I think the number you are referring to is 73,920; not 345,000. The number 73,920 is not supposed to change: it’s purpose is to inform you how many footsteps it takes to fully charge your Virtual Battery. The value that changes is the percent and it does so based on your Virtual Battery’s charge level. Provided your Virtual Battery has some power, you should be able to recycle. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the stars
Slow
Slow. Very encouraging to stop recycling.
No body has time to sit there and wait for each scan to respond before you can scan next bottle that is exactly the same. Why not just let people enter quantity?
Response from developer
We apologize for the slow speed: this is certainly something people should know in advance before downloading the app and so we’re going to add it to the app’s description. That said, there’re other things that you can do with the app! We’re currently seeing an increase in the demand for footsteps and would like to strongly encourage you — as well as anyone else bothered by the slow speed — to open your Footstep Shop — if you haven’t already — and instead focus on selling your footsteps. The process is super fast and being able to sell your footsteps is undeniably awesome
