Way more fun than an average dating app
If a picture is worth 1000 words then attaching a song to your profile must be worth 10,000. Judge me on my music taste, I beg you! And I’ll have no trouble doing the same.
A few glitches and it’s a shame you can’t see likes without subscribing but you can still send and receive messages, and what else is the point of a match if there’s no conversation? Way more fun than an average dating app.

Love music
Seeing everyone’s favourite songs and being to listen to samples is why this is the only dating app I use. I have had a few chats with some interesting girls and have found a whole heap of good songs I’ve never heard before. Sometimes the music is a little bit buggy and you have to hit the play pause button a few times. It’s a great app if you’re bored and single.

More genre & filter options
So I think that it would be really helpful if more genres were added because I accidentally deleted Dark Trap for example and I can’t get it back now. It would also be nice to have the option to filter out the people that are already taken. I’ve seen it in descriptions and profile pics, so there should be a way for the algorithm to recognize that and give me the option to only look for singles. Other than that, I don’t really have any other issues with it so far.

Hello, some music genres are automatically generated by Spotify results. And regarding the filters, those people should use the Turn up Friends mode, but we can't really choose for them

I saw plenty of ads on other apps for Turn Up. I was hesitant, but I gave it a crack, and I’ve made some really good friends from this app.
I enjoy the features of looking for friends and looking for dates, it’s something different and the fact that it is based on music- you can learn about so many new artists and genres from people who you match with!

Alright, but there’s a few issues
First of all, I love the concept for this app. The blind tests are a cool feature too! However there’s a few things that need fixing. Messaging feels a little delayed, as in if I start typing too fast then it doesn’t read my inputs. Also, when I started the app to would prompt me every once in a while to like 10 profiles and it would give me feee premium for a short time. Eventually though, this stopped occurring. This means that I have many MANY unknown matches and no chance to see them. I know I could pay for the app but the prices are CRAZY high. Especially for an app like this with a smaller community. I wish I could get a few days of occasional free premium again, it really made me think about paying for it. Maybe it’s just me but it’s been months of not getting prompted.

Great concept but needs improvement
It’s great you can meet people with the same musical interests as yourself, especially as someone who loves music more than the average person.
But I do wish the app would only show other people your profile if they are within the date range you specify. It’s a bit odd that I’m receiving messages from people 10-15 years younger than me. I would prefer to only receive messages from people in the +5/-5 range I have set up.
I know this limits potential matches and the user base is already small but it would be nice to have this as a setting.

I love that I can choose the music I enjoy and find people who like it as much as I do. It’s so good to see an app do something like this than rely on photos alone.

Love the concept
I absolutely love the concept of this app! There’s absolutely nothing like it. I have met women who actually like similar music to me and that’s quite difficult on any other dating app. The reason it’s so difficult is because I listen to heavy metal and hard rock which seems to be quite niche. Some women on other sites won’t even date you because of it. They think it’s strange or something. The only negative is it seems that the dating pool is a lot smaller but that’s not the apps fault. People just don’t know about it. I feel like once people start to hear about it, this will be one of the more popular dating apps!
