Update ruined the app -zero stars
I looked for a phone number for tech support and could not find a number to call.
I sent an email asking for a call for help. NO REPLY.
Months later, I accidentally stumbled upon a computer generated email that was sent to a 20 year-old email address. They asked if my problem was resolved.
NO IT WAS NOT, BECAUSE HELP NEVER CAME. SO I CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT.
I no longer do business with anyone who does not want to talk to customers by not leaving a phone. I don’t care how many calls they receive.

Hello, do you mean the CamScanner HD pro app? CamScanner HD pro app was the old version. Please download the new CamScanner app from App Store for using now and log in with the same CS account to get the synced documents. As for the pro version features, please send us your order confirmation and CS login account at isupport@camscanner.com. We will help to upgrade the account.
So… Are you saying that you won’t help us?
Would it really be too much trouble for you all to work on a way that your loyal user base could unlock their original documents, even if it were to just export them to some other platform/space? It would be a nice show of appreciation to your faithful users by not leaving their files held hostage inside their own iPads. To ignore our pleas for help is cruel, and it would really be unfortunate and unnecessary to alienate your most faithful users this way. Please do better.

If you didn't sign in before, you may try to contact Apple support to check if they can help to downgrade to an older version of iOS on your ipad to restore the files.
