Update ruined the app -zero stars

When I updated the app, it was NO LONGER USER FRIENDLY.

I looked for a phone number for tech support and could not find a number to call.

I sent an email asking for a call for help. NO REPLY.
Months later, I accidentally stumbled upon a computer generated email that was sent to a 20 year-old email address. They asked if my problem was resolved.

NO IT WAS NOT, BECAUSE HELP NEVER CAME. SO I CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT.

I no longer do business with anyone who does not want to talk to customers by not leaving a phone. I don’t care how many calls they receive.

Doesn’t sync

This app doesn’t sync and the CamScanner app isn’t for ipad.

Glitchy on ipad

I use the standard cam scanner on my iphone and its great. I have the hd version on my ipad (which is synced with my phone which I find very handy!) , but when trying to email scanned documents from the hd app the drop down list of previous email addresses is glitched and I have to re-enter them manually every time (its always been like this), however recently the send button is simply missing…..so I get stuck there unable to send the email and unable to exit so I’m forced to exit the app entirely to get out of there. You can work around it by saving the files elsewhere or taking the image on the ipad and then emailing it with the phone (the image sync is quick) but its klunky and time consuming.

Sorry, CamScanner HD version hasn't been updated for a long time, which is not compatible with IOS system. Please download CamScanner iPhone new version on iPad and log in the same account to use. Sorry that CS iPhone version isn't full screen on iPad.

It’s way better than the other one because it is pro and free

Don’t like changes in the app last update

#1. The email addresses pre populated are great as long as you don’t need the top line as it’s not accessible

#2. The send button disappears from the screen. It’s still there but you’re on your own to find it as it disappears from view

Can’t access our documents or the app we paid for

Developer abandoned the app we paid for, making a new identical app instead in an attempt to get paid again. Now we lost our documents and our money as the old app we paid for is broken. Developer needs to update and fix the app we paid for, or provide the new app along with access to our documents.

Please download the new CamScanner app from App Store for using now and log in with the same CS account to get the synced documents. As for the pro version features, please send us your order confirmation and CS login account at isupport@camscanner.com. We will help to upgrade the account.

So… Are you saying that you won’t help us?

I’ve been looking through the recent reviews of other legacy users who are all-of-a-sudden unable to access their saved documents because the old CSHD version won’t open on the newest iOS, and the new CSHD version doesn’t even acknowledge the existence of the old version or its saved files. Was there ever a warning of a change this critical to your user base? I certainly don’t remember seeing one. Frankly, to suggest that users contact Apple support to get help DOWNGRADING THE ENTIRE OPERATING SYSTEM just to access the files locked inside this ONE app is ridiculous.

Would it really be too much trouble for you all to work on a way that your loyal user base could unlock their original documents, even if it were to just export them to some other platform/space? It would be a nice show of appreciation to your faithful users by not leaving their files held hostage inside their own iPads. To ignore our pleas for help is cruel, and it would really be unfortunate and unnecessary to alienate your most faithful users this way. Please do better.

Update the old version please.

Please update the old version of HD pro or provide legacy users with I way to get their stuff. I never registered but I’ve been using pro for years. I’m an educator and have been on break so I just discovered that you screwed legacy users. Don’t tell me that the app hasn’t been updated for years. I don’t care. I’ve been using it with no problem until this summer. Fix the old app so we can get our stuff. If not, then new users need to know that you are capricious and will switch versions of the app capriciously leaving them with no way to access their docs.

If you didn't sign in before, you may try to contact Apple support to check if they can help to downgrade to an older version of iOS on your ipad to restore the files.

Disgruntled

Developer holding users for ransom? It appears to access files from the past a person must now pay for the equivalent Cam Scanner app. I guess I will consider my old files gone and lost forever, I am not willing to buy the milk from a cow that was once free.
