Hi! Thank you for your honest feedback and we apologize that your recent job search hasn't been successful on our platform. Hiring facilities will require at least 1-2 years of recent US-based experience to consider candidates for travel roles- this requirement is set by the hospitals needing travelers, not by recruiters or agencies or by Vivian. If you do have recent experience, please have this added to your profile so recruiters know that you're qualified for travel roles. If you need further assistance, please reach out to our support team using the 'Contact Vivian' button on the app (or web).

Good but needs an update

I do like this app, it’s a great place to see a very broad view of what contracts are out there but my biggest complaint is you can’t see what specialty the contract is on any of them so when you click interested you have to ask the recruiter and I work pediatrics which is not the specialty it’s an patient age range (most recruiters say that’s the specialty) but there’s still oncology and cardio and neuro or med/surg units within pediatrics and if the recruiters were required to put the specialty in for each listing it would save us all a lot of time. I feel like I’m wasting the recruiters time because I have to ask every-time, and then I can’t even apply if I don’t have experience in that specialty anyway so we just waisted each others time by me having to have this conversation on every single listing I see that I might be interested in. If that could be an app update for pediatric travelers that would be really nice!

Be ready for lots of sales calls

I have been signed up for Vivian for almost a year now. Many of the same jobs are posted by different recruiting companies offering different pay because of their profit margins. An high number of jobs are
Miscategorised under the wrong specialty. I have reached out to Vivian on several occasions and the positions are never corrected.
If you post your real phone number here be prepared to received a high number of sales calls from recruiters. My advice is to not use your real phone number and indicate this on your profile or résumé. Vivian support is only via chat.
There are lots of improvements that need to be made to make it better for the job seekers.

Hi there! We appreciate your feedback and we truly apologize for your job search experience on our platform. Many agencies are partnered with the same facilities and you can opt to compare rates on our platform or discuss with your recruiter if they're able to negotiate pay. Please use our 'report a job' function to report any mislabeled or unavailable jobs (if still active on our platform) or have them reported to our support team using the Contact Vivian button so we can flag them for correction. Again, we sincerely apologize for your experience

Not as advertised, unfortunately

So most of these postings are an attempt to get you lured in. These contracts are usually unavailable by the time you submit everything. Or sometimes the contracts aren’t available for at least a month even though it’s advertised as an immediate start date. The idea is great. However it’s a bit time consuming for you. It’s embarrassing to start profiles for all these agencies and have my references fill out documents only for the contract to be unavailable. Do as you will with this information.

Hi there. We appreciate your feedback and we truly apologize for your recent job search experience on our platform. Jobs in more "desirable" locations or in more in-demand specialties may fill faster than others. Agencies also have their jobs posted in other job boards, thus contributing to the application volume. Please use our 'report a job' function to report the unavailable jobs (if still active on our platform) and have the jobs with inaccurate start dates reported to our support team using the Contact Vivian button so we can flag them for correction. Again, we sincerely apologize for your experience.

Listed Jobs

Vivian makes you list all of your information, resume, licensing, and credentials and the recruiters DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY OF IT. 95% of the jobs are NOT available and it’s just a ploy to get you talking with recruiters. Recruiters will have you do EVERYTHING to submit you to a job just to tell you it’s no longer available. They do this to have you on board in hopes to try to submit you to whatever jobs they have available. It’s honestly a big waste of time. It’s better to just go on an agency’s website and apply directly through them rather than waste your time and energy with Vivian. With that being said, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP FOR ANY TRAVEL NURSE LOOKING FOR AN ASSIGNMENT.

Hi there. We appreciate your feedback and we truly apologize for your experience with the agencies you connected with. Recruiters should have access to your full profile and uploaded documents when you express interest in a job or apply to a proposal that they sent over. Furthermore, we do NOT tolerate any bait and switch on the site. Please use our 'report a job' or 'report a recruiter' function to report these jobs, and have them reported to our support team using the Contact Vivian button. You can also leave reviews for these agencies on the app to let others know. Again, we sincerely apologize for your experience.

Occupational Therapist

Vivian connected me with CoreMedical Group which were some of the greatest, most supportive people I have ever worked with. Vivian technology and CoreMedical Group were supportive through the whole job search process and even dealing with some unusual circumstances, but Vivian kept the communications open and flowing until my position was completely secured. I just can’t give enough positive feedback about Vivian staff and CoreMedical Group personnel professionalism, prompt return of calls, texts, and emails. Vivian is a great tool and it helped me find a job in a few days after looking on my own for a few years. I started my new job and I love it. Choose carefully and if you just want the best choose Vivian and couple that with CoreMedical Group and move forward. Don’t hesitate and stay in a job you don’t like or want, there are tons of jobs out there and Vivian with CoreMedical can help you find the best fit. You will have to do quite a bit of paperwork but it is certainly worth it for more pay, better benefits and a happier work life. Weather your a PT, OT, SLP, RD, LPN, or RN, I strongly urge you to give Vivian a hard look and give CoreMedical Group a chance and see what comes up. You have nothing to lose except a job you don’t want. Take care, Rich Watt OTR/L, ATP

Hi Rich! Awesome feedback for CoreMedical Group! We would love to see this review in the Employer Reviews page (located under 'Resources' in the home page) so the agency can see your kudos, plus it may be helpful for other candidates who are still seeking for an agency that's the best match for them. If you have anything to share about your overall experience on the app, you may add it to this review as well. Thank you!

Changes

CareRev started out great: it was easy to pick up shifts, the pay was good… but now they’re moving to W2 from 1099 in WA and the pay is dropping significantly. They’re marketing the change like it’s a good thing, but it doesn’t seem to benefit the heathcare providers who are picking up shifts at all. This also means more paperwork, and onboarding with People 2.0…

Either labor laws in WA forced CareRev to make this change (in which care I wish they would have been honest and said ‘sorry, we have to do this’ OR it’s better for their bottom line. Maybe both. In any case it’s a net-negative for the workers.

Also, AYA either owns or is affiliated with People 2.0… They seem to have their tendrils everywhere. Not a fan.

Hi there! It looks like you left a review for the wrong app. This review is linked to the Vivian healthcare app. We understand that sometimes things happen, but we just wanted to make sure the information gets to the right place!

I get SO many recruiter emails despite deleting my account!

I was getting so many unsolicited phone calls, texts, and emails to the point that I just deleted my account and I STILL am getting endless emails. This is ridiculous. I can’t see now because I deleted my account but I’m pretty sure I also checked off an option to request that they only contact me via the app. But that didn’t help.

Apart from the annoyance, I had tried to reach out to recruiters regarding the posted jobs, but when we started a conversation they all ended up ignoring my request for info on that specific job and pressured me to set up a profile with their company.

Scam. Bait and switch

Catfished twice.
Applied for a travel nurse position.
Was quoted a weekly rate, after fully applying and allowing reference checks the rate dropped almost in half. Was told by a recruiter that the rate was accidentally listed higher than it should have been by Vivian. Ok we are all human things happen.
Few days later I applied again through the Vivian app with another travel nurse company. Same thing, was quoted a specific rate, verified before completing application and reference checks. After completing everything the rate dropped significantly! Do not trust these scammers.
