So frustrating
Beautifully designed speakers with fantastic sound reproduction.... but.... The app is so frustrating. Sometimes it works well, connect one M3 with SW to another M3 in stereo and plays without bother. Sometimes, it even remembers that they were connected once and will reconnect on switching on. Other times, it’s says the speakers are either not supported (often) or it just times out. So much time taken restarting and resetting each piece, for such a short time of enjoyment before the whole cycle is repeated. Sometimes, going through the manual pairing (double click on master) fails too.... Aaaagh! This is true of both iPad and iPhone versions. I’ve been in touch with support several times, but they do try their best to help, only for me to face the same issue again a few days later. It’s such a pity, as this could be such a joy if only the app was reasonably stable.
When will there be an update?

Good sound when you can get it to connect.
If you are using this with cables, it is probably a decent system. For those that want to use Bluetooth. Good luck trying to get a connection. Some advice for the industrial designers of the world and mini rig. Buttons are OK. Put more than one on the product. One button is sleek and elegant, but functionally complex. Hold for this long, double tap for this, rub your tummy for that. Silly and misses the point of a UI, the functions should be easy to discover and not require reading a web document. Form should not dominate over the function of the product and you missed big time on the user function. One button does not make things simple. Labels help, yes not as sleek as the mystery cylinder you created but useable. In addition, why don’t you stick with industry standards, blue flashing light means Bluetooth pair. Putting a pair of these in the stereo mode is a lottery. It is inconsistent not reputable. And an unpleasant experience for the user. In summary excellent sound by one playing in mono and attach it with cables, works great otherwise... Buyer’ remorse.

Worst app ever
Just received my MINIRIG 3 bundle
This app can’t properly connect two speakers let alone two speakers and a sub.
To make matters worse it seams to have completely messed up the speakers. Now I can’t get anything hooked up Bluetooth. Even after resetting per instructions. iPhone is on the latest iOS.
Thinking of returning the speakers what a terrible experience with this system.

Great sound, rubbish tech!
MINIRIG really need to sort this app out, if you’re just connecting one speaker it’s probably ok, but when adding multiples, it’s a nightmare! Part of the problem I think is not knowing which one is dominant, you would think it was the first one you turned on, but this is often not the case! I’ve actually labelled mine on the bottom which helps, also just long pressing and resetting them every time you use them saves a lot of pain. The tech should be good enough to sort this out for you, but it doesn’t!

The Italian car of speakers.
Beautiful to look at and gorgeous sound. But unreliable (pairing in stereo sound) and the app has been neglected to the point that it is completely useless (crashes, freezes, gets stuck in some weird UI loop) Bonus points if you find the typo in the app!
Uh oh! Last app update was 2 years ago!
As everyone states, the minirigs sound spectacular . . . when they are able to be paired correctly.
Unfortunately, this is a rare occasion. The app is extremely buggy. Just like the app, there seems to be no updates for the speakers correct the pairing issues.I bought a 2.1 system. Initially, the minirigs paired somewhat easily. Now, the two minirig 3s don’t seem to recognize each other whatsoever. It is very frustrating. I hope somebody reads this to rectify the issues.
Again, when they work,The speakers sound phenomenal. Unfortunately, it takes too much work to get the speakers to work appropriately.

Poor connections
Very good sound … absolutely brilliant in fact .. the whole experience is ruined by poor cable quality poor female jack quality … connectivity via Bluetooth.. spent hours and hours and hours trying to get correct functionality… returned sub to be told it was fine when the jacks are really poor to connect speaker to sub … it’s just money saving on other issues that have ruined the experience… rubbish charging cables as cheap as money can buy .. great product ruined by auxiliary issues ..

Crashed, crashed, crashed, , ,
All the reviews are true. The app crashes so often that it’s impossible to use. And, it takes too many steps to get to the volume control. I like the speaker, but I’m going to change the brand.
Great hardware, software I’d crapware
Unusable, won’t find connected device, big clunky non-Mac software that is completely useless. Cheers
Amazing Speaker, bad app
I spent a lot of time reading reviews for the best Bluetooth speaker to replace my Bose Mini. The MINIRIG is the one I chose. Fabulous sound and great battery life.
However it hurts to say this app is terrible. Crashes over and over. Does not connect half the time. It is not really needed, except to setup the sound level range.
Recommended speaker. Forget the app..
