Gives away personal information

If you use this app, please be careful of sensitive information. 4th time I’ve had my account show EVERY message from other parents. With sensitive information. Unless you’re required to use this app, steer far away. They do not care about personal information being sent to everyone on the app, makes you wonder what they do with all the information they have already. Zero information security here.

App stopped working out of the blue

The app has been working ok for months without issue, then this week it won’t let me do anything on it. Opening it immediately takes me to the QR Code sign-in page, but won’t scan anything successfully. I’ve tried scanning the normal sign-in QR and the original Registration QR, neither works. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, doesn’t do anything and it keeps taking me to that same scan page without any option to register. The app is not functioning at all for me.

Please update back button

I have trouble going back to the previous screen because the back button is in the top corner exactly where my time is. Its kind of frustrating.

Doesn’t check my child in

I scan the code every morning and it will not scan my child in unless I physically go into the daycare and use there tablet and all of that. Which shouldn’t be the case

Version pre pandemic was better

You used to be able to see all data (clock in, clock out times, days absent etc) WITHOUT having to scan the qr code before the pandemic happened. Now you have to be at the facility to scan the qr code before being able to see anything. It was beneficial beforehand to see the data so I could plan appropriately to pick them up if their hours hadn’t been met, or to remind myself how many absent days they had left etc. This new version is not helpful at all being you can’t see anything without being at the facility and at that point, I could just ask the daycare director what I needed to know.

Unable to use

Consistently receiving error message, takes at least 10 minutes before I can actually sign in and that’s if the app allows me.

Having a problem with app on my phone saying device not registered but I have same phone nothing changed

Keeps crashing my phone

I like the app, except I have to restart my phone every time after I use the QR scanner, bc it crashes my iPhone8. I get a pop up that “no SIM” card is installed , and have to restart my phone.

QR code Scan Location

It seems pretty easy but would the parents scan the QR code on the tablet or is there an additional physical sign in sheet to scan for the parents? And what if the provider doesn’t have access to WiFi would the location of the transaction display the location of the transaction outside of the place of care if sign in with the tablet is running off WiFi elsewhere?

Thank you for your review. Parents need to scan two codes to be able to sign children in and out using this app on their smartphone as it designed. The first is the KinderSmart Sponsor Registration form. You can find this on the Sponsor Detail Page in KinderConnect. The second code they need to scan is the provider mobile sign in sheet. You can find that under the reports section of KinderConnect. This is the same QR code that you scanned into the tablet second to complete its registration process and you should have it available for parents to scan with their phones if they choose to use their phones. Once they scan that it will allow them to check children in and out. No further physical sheets necessary. The tablet does not use WiFi to record the location of the transaction. It uses the tablet’s GPS system. This is why you must turn on the navigation settings when you are setting up the app. If there is no WiFi at the provider’s location, the tablet will function in offline mode, it will collect the sign in and out times and the location based on the GPS reading at the moment the sponsor signed the child in or out and store it. When the tablet does connect to WiFi again it will upload the attendance and the location data it has stored to the KinderConenct website. Based on what you are describing here, there should not be any issues with it reporting the wrong location. Pictures

I would like to know if it optional to add pictures next to the kids so it’s easier when someone else checks them in and out in case you can’t? Like grandma or grandpa?
