Best player

For playing your own files, old school album art, artist album display.

Great offline player, couple big annoyances

This is the best offline music player I could find for iOS. I love that it is one of the few apps not sucking down user data. It’s fast, clean and even has a convenient way to transfer files over WiFi. The biggest negative… it is extremely unforgiving of MP3 tags- so even a minute difference in lesser known tags or even tag ‘versions’ will cause a single album have songs split up into multiple albums with no way to combine. This could easily be fixed by either adding a “folder” option to the library (i.e. if the mp3s are in the same subfolder, it’s the same album), or by ignoring all tags except for artist/album/genre when grouping respectively. also support of custom/m3u playlists would be very welcome

Almost but not perfect

This app meets most of my needs for a standalone music app, but I have my library organized by album artists, and have artists featured on the album listed with the main artist. It breaks these songs into different albums rather than grouping them together. If you can fix that or give the option to sort by album artists, it would be 5 stars

Extraordinary gift to the world

I am very grateful to the developer.

If you’ve been paying attention over the last 20 years or so, you’ve noticed how all your rights and freedoms have been taken away from you, via various forms of trickery, tracking, psychological manipulation, removal of functionality under the auspices of “upgrades”, forced changes in legal terms of use, etc. This application lets you listen to your music, your way, in private, with no tricks, traps, exploitation, etc. I hope the developer eventually provides better organizational options, but I recognize this player is a huge gift, without comparison, and I mostly hope he just keeps it working through future OS changes.

Exactly what I wanted

Simple UI, extremely easy to use, no nonsense, and just works. I was getting so frustrated trying to find a music player to upload the music files from my PC which I have collected over the years… Every other app I tried was a complete dumpster fire. This one is the best. Look no further. And it’s free which is crazy. I would absolutely pay a one time fee to use this app.

Great But Where’s…

..a rating system? Seems a shame when such a mint app to find after a long journey to find something that works well between my iPhone & NAS.

BUT, please bring a rating feature/heart button in the next release?

Playback from external usb drive

Now that the iPhone 15 will recognize an external drive is there a way to playback from the external drive rather than importing the audio files to the phone? I’m trying not to fill up my iPhone and still be able to play however many songs will fit on my usb-c drive. I can’t really rate it honestly until I see if that’s a feature I can use.

My go to music app

If you are reading this review, read no further, this is the app you’ve been looking for. Perfect music player for your eclectic collection. If only it could access more file metadata (why no lyrics?!) or display album covers in different ways!

Response from developer

Thank you! What alternate ways would you suggest for the album covers?

Simple great music player

Well designed music player for anyone who would like to listen to their own local library and still want to sync their own collection. I hope to see some small tweaks and updates in the future to make this app even better! 5 stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good player

Really like this. To me a great app is one that works well, is simple and clear and you don’t/rarely need to rtfm and this hits the mark.

Just one request, there is no way that I could see to control the audio output. Ie select speakers or Bluetooth or… can get a little confusing if you have multiple outputs. Perhaps I am just missing something
