could use more seasons and more leagues
  • Enjoyable little game

This a very enjoyable little game that has kept me entertained for nearly a year now if I have any faults to pick with the game it is that since the last update the game keeps crashing randomly (it always saves the game) and at the start of a new season young players added to your team are just random names when it surely would have been easier and more realistic to add players who actually got promoted into the first team as a result after a couple of season it seams the only players you can buy aren’t real players anymore.P.S I would love the first premier league season to be added to the game such an important and definitive season in football

  • great game

if you love football and want to have some fun while you are bored play this game
  • Suggestion

It’s a great game but I suggest you add a button to restore purchases. I had bought a reward before deleting the game. I installed it back again and I couldn’t get my reward back. Hope you add this soon. Thank you.
  • Takes me back to original Championship Manager

This is a good effort at a very simplistic football management simulator. It has a lot of similarities to the original Championship Manager game that was based on the 93’ season. The developers could easily take more ideas from that game and implement them. More variation on match text would be nice and a little polishing of some of the existing text... “ball playered through” comes up a lot and just bugs me that little bit!
It’s a nice ad system that rewards £1M for watching, but a couple of the ads can’t be closed and you get stuck on them so forced to quit and reload. The candy crush saga ad is one of them and needs fixing.
All in all, good for a bit of fun to pass some time, you can get through a season in next to no time which is nice, as you quest to build a squad of ultimate superstars!

  • Best Retro Football Game Ever

This game is a wonderful nod back to the days of simple, classic football games that I spent hours and hours playing on a ZX Spectrum as a kid. This game heavily involves random number generation, so don’t get too angry when you unthinkably lose 4-0 to a team you out-class in every aspect, but in the main you won’t have a problem. Just pick a season from history and keeping playing it until you amass an ultimate squad from that era, become league champions and win the European Cup. The only improvements I’d like to make would be to add the FA Cup (England) to give it an extra knockout dimension and give you the chance to win the elusive Treble, relegation/promotion when you continue playing from a certain season, and weirdly despite signing foreign players, they continue to appear in the transfer market playing for other clubs whilst they’re playing for you. But other than that - almost perfect! Goodbye free time, hello square-eyes! Thank you :)

    Developer Response

Thanks a lot of this very useful feedback. This year we will be adding subs and player ratings. In early 2021 we plan to release 2 new modes to the game which will contain the FA Cup and promotion and relegation. Regards Coast Gaming
  • Ok start so far

No worries after first season. Let’s see how it continues
  • Simple but very effective!!!

What a fantastic game!!! I absolutely loved Championship Manager between 95 and 99 before it all changed to the more complex style game, similar to the games of today. I love the simplicity of the old games!
Since then I have always wanted to reminisce by playing the old games again, but had no luck. Until now...
Retro Football Management was exactly what I was looking for!
I can’t stop playing it! It’s a simplified version to work as an “on the go” App, but it’s fantastic! Simple but very effective!
All the old players. It’s easy to make money. So much fun.
A couple of changes that would make the game even better would be:
    1. To be able to see a transfer list for players outside of England.
    2. When you get the chance to buy a player from outside of England after a match. If you have insufficient funds you don’t have the option to sell a player to enable you to buy them.
However I love the game and I’m sure I’ll be playing it for a while. This one’s a keeper.

  • Addictive & Nostalgic

This game has all the things that a successful football management sim should have. It’s easy to navigate, addictive, and it doesn’t take forever to complete a season. As with all games though, there are plus and minuses. Firstly the good points.
RFM has quick seasons, you can easily complete one in an hour.
Unlike some games, it has original team & player names
There are bonus incentives for winning the league

The negatives are that it seems hard to win the league, even with a team full of 90+ rated players
After smashing the league leaders away, you’ll get beat at home by the bottom team. (But in fairness that happens in real life)
Game glitches. In one match an opposition player got injured in the first half and was substituted. He then proceeded to score a late second half winner against me!!

All in all though it’s a great game, taking me back to the 90’s heyday of Championship Manager. Big thumbs up!
