Excellent method of in town transport
I have since become well accustomed to them and use them almost daily to go into and around town, they are very convenient and a much more practical way to get around than using a private bike, especially if you don’t have much room at home. I honestly can’t think of any reasonable complaints to make. Thank you very much Beryl for providing an excellent solution to city journeys in Hereford, I am incredibly eager to see more of these spring up around the country.
Faulty locking system results in fine
They could be preventing random lockings from their operating rooms - to make a few extra quid so that a portion of users end up paying an extra £10 - per day . I intend to have this investigated by the consumer magazine “Which”. For all users sakes .
If you cannot lock your bike after your journey . Take photos of the bike number , time date etc and the bay you parked in . This is all useful evidence - esp when their online chat staff are mysteriously unavailable to chat or help . And go to the small claims court . You’ll get your £10 fine back and then because they lose each time they award you expenses and costs and you leave court with a few extra hundred quid courtesy of Beyrl . It’s almost like they pay you to rude the bikes !

The app just doesn’t work for me
Good bikes, great company
I used a slightly faulty beryl bike, sent them a message, and their customer service was absolutely top notch. They refunded my ride and then some. Had experiences with their customer service before and it’s consistently excellent. Jess from the Kensington office sorted me right out. Also, the bikes are weighty & well-made, as well as easy to use (don’t have a mind-boggling range of gears etc). If using regularly, I’d recommended buying, like, 100 mins; costs around a fiver & works out much cheaper. I definitely endorse them. Good exercise too
