Not worth it
I was pretty excited about this and signed up for a year subscription. However, the scans are not fully complete and don’t look that great. I have a brand new iPhone 12 pro max. Fun app - ridiculous subscription model.
This app is fun and shows some very solid technical prowess.
The issue? It should NOT have a subscription model. Let people buy it and use it.
Stop thinking you have an Adobe ecosystem here. It’s a simple one trick pony product. Nothing that I should be paying $10 a month for.xTravBx

Scans very well, but there are issues
Pros:
- Scans are always extremely high fidelity
- interface is simple to use
Cons:
- App crashes often
- if the app crashes while saving, you don't get your daily saving credit back
- scanning becomes slow and sluggish mid-scan, making user feedback difficult
- Exported files are baked vertex colors and not a UV map, making their use case extremely difficult
Overall, I'm happy there's an app this good on the market. I really want to see this app improve so I can pay for these services. What is here right now is just not worth it for a paying user. I hope they implement more feature sets in the future.Show lessLulianus
Amazing
I am a 3D modeler and Scandy seems to prove very useful for my work. While Photogrammetry is great and yields amazing textures it can be really frustrating when you take all your pictures and the model doesn’t work out, Scandy is fast and simple which is perfect for quick models. Now if only apple would get decent cameras ( come on Apple, get with the program!!) for use with textures, but that’s a huge mishap on apples part, not Scandy.Show lessZenSpace23
Love the app
Recently having an issue running iOS 12.0 iPhone Xs Max. The app opens doesn’t crash on me , just doesn’t show anything but black and slight white on screen. Cannot scan. All other functions are visible and operate. Just no camera view availableScandalousType
Crashing like crazy
Can not make one good scan, during the scan the phone keeps on clicking and vibrating while the screen goes crazy then it is stuck.... it happens about 16 times before I gave up. I went as slow as humanly possible but still can not get 1 good scan...

Finally! A 3d scanner for iPhone X series. This app is powerful and works great. The scans are very detailed. Export scans with or without color. The App features trim, mesh decimating, and noise reduction tools.
Support is quick and developers seem to be constantly making improvements. Well worth a few bucks subscription to use as needed.
Scan slow. Maintaining tracking is key to good scans. Watch the tip videos.

Not ready for prime time.
Too many bugs. I’ve been trying to get a usable scan of my own head for several hours now, no luck. It glitches after anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes into the scan, no matter how slow I go. And after it loses tracking the whole entire process has to start over. And by process, I mean the iPad mirror has to be located, selected, saved again.

Has potential, but broken
The app seems to have potential, but it doesn’t work with the rear facing camera on iPhone X. It’s all but impossible to get a 360 scan using only the front facing camera, which makes this app useless until this is fixed. I may consider a subscription if it can be used with the rear facing camera to get full scans.Show lessSterian
