Rare languages, some great features, but not ideal for beginners & some bugs

Very Satisfied
However, I feel that the app is easy to use and is providing good information and a great starting point to guide my learning further. It doesn’t teach you every single word, but it gives you some important basic ones for each lesson. As I use it more I am beginning to understand some of the grammar rules by doing the conversation exercises and am picking up on certain nuances in the languages.
Overall I think this is a great app to use as a starting point. You will need to incorporate other resources if you truly want to become fluent, but it has been very helpful in guiding me. Other things I have added alongside the app include watching videos of native speakers and chatting with AI in Albanian to have real-world conversations in lieu of knowing people who speak Albanian. Don’t expect to become fluent using just one medium, but the app has only been beneficial for me.

As for the leaderboards, they’ve been temporarily taken down for improvements, but rest assured, it will be back in the future. Had problems initially but resolved in the end.
It has been a bit of a love/hate relationship though. Previously the app had bugs where progress resets to zero and some confusion from customer service meant I wasn’t getting what was originally promised.
However, Ling soon apologised and rectified my account issues. Since then I feel more confident in the app and look forward to learning a language that my girlfriend and family speak.

Scam app awful customer service

Hi There, Thank you for the review and I am a little saddened by what I have read. Customer support will always answer your emails within 24 hours and you are able to reach us either in-app or by email at support@ling-app.com. Regarding your update on the review, I am assuming you are referring to subscriptions. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and not Ling as you are essentially an Apple customer. Apple as per their terms and conditions limit us to what we can do with subscriptions and refunds for customers, this is clearly stated in their terms and conditions when purchasing from the App Store, meaning refunds on subscriptions are directly handled by them as opposed to Google who allow us to issue refunds to users who request them.
