This App Is Garbage
My landlord recently switched over to this app and immediately nothing worked the way it should. I’m supposed to able to view my rent and be able to pay it through the app but if I even try to I’m just given an error. The ONLY thing I have access to do is file maintenance claims. Honestly debating if they even viewed the reviews before switching over because it’s complete garbage. I knew it would be a bad experience as soon as I saw the 2 star rating, and my worries were correct. It’s ridiculous. It hasn’t been updated in over a year. I’m surprised it’s still even on the App Store with all the bad reviews.

Your landlord hates you.
Trash. Garbage. Worst experience I’ve ever had trying to do anything financial. I would prefer having to use dial-up than use this app. I would rather have to pay my rent at the DMV than use this app. This app makes me want to cause bodily harm to myself. It never stops crashing, it won’t give you any information half of the time and I’ve waited for over 30 minutes for someone to answer this “chat”, which is their way of making sure you cannot freely contact your landlord/property manager. This app feels broken, like it’s still in its Beta stage. I’ve been trying for over four hours just to pay my rent and the app is so glitchy that I haven’t been able to. If you’ve been directed here by your landlord or property manager, I am so sorry and I can only assume that they want you to destroy your own phone out of frustration and move out. I legitimately hate it here and do not understand how using a medium as faulty as this is still legal.

Horrible! Every work order put in says the job has been completed and nothing ever gets done! Not sure who is worse Slate House or Home 365!
A complete cop out for Landlords
Water pouring through my ceiling and onto my bed at 1am. Called the “emergency number” provided by the landlord. The next afternoon I get a text saying “download our app to report an issue.” Haven’t heard from anyone in 48 hours.

Ever since they started working with slatehouse, I want out of this lease. Home365 is terrible. Can’t get in touch with anyone. Using their “projects” tab it took almost 2 months for them to find someone fix my sink. Then this past week I go to pay rent, I recently switched bank accounts, so I go to add a new bank, but when clicking to add a bank account they said “thanks for your payment” and charged my old bank. They still haven’t reached back out to me. They reversed the payment and now want 100$ reversal fee. Stay away from home365.

Worst app ever.
This app is used by slatehouse and is a nightmare. Someway or some how, I was kicked out out of the app and for whatever reason, I can no longer get access to it. The fact that this is still being used only indicates that they were the LOWEST bidder.
If you’re a renter run
This property management and app service have been horrible. Some banks won’t let payments go through from the app so you have to send a check or money order to send them. They have horrible communication. We’ve attempted to contact them multiples times and takes almost a week to even get a response from anyone at the company. They refuse to fix any charges that are wrong even if you show them proof. Such as being charged water, sewer, trash twice, being charged a late fee after their app said the payment was accepted, because a week and a half later it will say it wasn’t. Absolutely horrible.

Those 5 star reviews are clearly from the company
This app is a joke. We were told it was an upgrade from appfolio, which the property management was using previously, and it most certainly is not. They are using a third party payment process that requires logging into your bank if you want to use a check or charges an exorbitant fee (which quite honestly is the cost of doing business but not surprising for a company that cheaps out on literally everything anyway) for using your debit card and yet it doesn’t even work with certain banks since this processor was sued for copyright infringement. The app has next to none of the features of the old app such as access to your lease documents.

The entire system is flawed ever since the merge between home365 and Slatehouse. I have done
more work and sent more emails than I ever have as an owner when the PM should be handling. Good landlords trying to keep tenants happy with a broken system is bad for business!
