Don’t buy!!!! SCAM!!!
When I first placed my order I got the large bottles, and right away tried to change it to the small bottles to try it out first. Tammy assured me I would be happy, if not she would send me a new formula. After a few days of using my hair felt horrible. Greasy, sticky, like I hadn’t washed in weeks.
When I wrote in explaining my problem, Cassi told me to use double the amount of conditioner. I ended up having to use 15 pumps of conditioner (about 2 handfulls) to make my hair even feel halfway normal. Mind you this took weeks to hear back and get to this point. After I got back and told her, thats when she started ignoring my messages, and started sending me messages about giving out a discount code for friends and family. (Are you kidding me)
So when I wasn’t hearing anything back I took to fb. As soon as I wrote this statement, I was blocked. So I took to Instagram. Same thing. So then I wrote them again through the app. Now all of our correspondence has disappeared. How convenient. When I tried to write again I get an error message.
This place will take your money. Buyer beware. This product is garbage.blkbxr
Not a quality product
Just tried my initial shipment of my ‘formula’ and was not impressed. The scent, ‘At Dawn,’ smells very artificial / heavy chemical scent. The shampoo was also exceptionally runny and watery, and my hair dye colored the lather. For a shampoo that was made for color protection, this did just the opposite. Thankfully subscription cancellation was easy, and I do like the packaging (which I will repurpose as to not be wasteful).LinaBlade

Terrible, not very functional app. You can’t do much with your orders, I had to message to have a certain change made. It’s just not very appealing, you click on ‘manage orders’ and there’s nothing to manage. Function of Beauty’s website is much better than this app. I can’t even see my most recent order in the app, and I have no idea if it’s shipped or when to expect it.Makeoneforme
Great thought put into their product and services
Formulate offers shampoo and conditioners which are very specialized and can help you achieve any hair goals. It may take trial and error to find the perfect formula, but this is fun and all part of the experience for me. I think this is good for people who know what they are trying to achieve for their hair, and it gives the user a lot of flexibility to try new things.
I’ve never had issues with communication, and my formulation chemist has always responded to my feedback and requests.chinatown warrior

This has completely destroyed the hair I've taken so long to grow out and work on. I’m so worried my hair will never be the same again. Absolutely disgusting and customer service is avoiding my complaints and I cannot get back money or simply a different product to try. What a wasteMAD1M
Mediocre app to match the shampoo
It was difficult to actually get to conversations to get feedback to my chemist.
My shampoo made me look like I’d been bathing in lard. My hair was ropy with grease and felt waxy even if I just shampooed. Even after a reformulation my hair still felt waxy. I’m glad I just bought the small size but I’m annoyed at the money I wasted.
Customer service was really nice though and cancelation was easy.Pretty colorful

My hair has never felt so silky or so frizz free! I have re-ordered once so far, and will continue! No more drug store shampoo & conditioner for me.
