  • If you don’t pay you’re going to waste so much time

First I thought this game was OK and I started playing everyday. I understood from the beginning that there is ads and in app purchases. I decided to enjoy the game and test it out. It’s not bad although it is full of in app purchases and ads. After a while it gets boring because it’s just long continuous routine and you won’t achieve or accomplish anything faster unless you pay. I don’t mind paying but the amount they are asking is not at ALL worth it. There are better bangs for your buck on the App Store.....

  • Love this game.

The game play is great. The adds get annoying but that’s what you expect from a game you don’t pay for.
  • Huge level jump between regions

I’m done with Germany, the second region, but can’t get into the next one, USA, until I hit level 40. I am currently level 22. I have no interest in playing the first two zones that I have already completed for another 18 levels...
  • Train Station

Was just starting to get the hang of the game with it’s lack of instructions and reached ? Level 11 then the game seems to have totally hug and will not load, just giving me a black screen and then returning to a menu page. I was starting to enjoy the game but sorry guys I have now deleted the app. It is just so annoying having a game you like, but will not load.
You have missed a great educational opportunity, you should try to have a small sheet about each train type showing when it went into service, pulling capacity, etc. keep it simple and just choose a few facts that would be of interest to a 10 year old.

  • Train station 2

In my opinion this game is really good, there are many aspects of the game that make it fun like balancing resources or choosing which projects to complete first so that other projects are made easier. I love the upgrading mechanics so that you can have bigger trains and have more trains out simultaneously. The only drawback for me is that after Britain you don’t really develop the land much. I loved the Britain level because you could see all the changes you made, you made new tracks, gained access to new resources built bridges and developed the country with things like the farm and port. However when I arrived in Germany it was completely different, all the train lines were already built for you and all of the resources (except timber) were already there, you had no effect on the countryside and did not develop the lines. I am currently 75% through Germany and nothing has changed since the start. Something that would help me continue to play the game would be more levels like Britain and less like Germany but overall it is a great game and the time limited events are always a nice challenge and difference from the rest of the game!

  • Snails pace

As others have said, once you get over the first few levels you end up having to wait for hours until you can continue. Some jobs require a specific train and takes 1 hour. If that train can currently carry 10 but the job wants 100 pieces, the timer should start from when the last piece is delivered but it doesn’t. It starts each time you dispatch a train. Therefore that one job alone may take you: 100pieces / 10 load train = 10 hours real world time to complete. It’s ridiculous. Yes sure every 4 or so hours you can open a small crate that could possibly give you upgrade points to increase capacity of the train but it’s very few points. Furthermore as others have said when I use keys to open train crates, I keep getting duplicates instead of new trains. Some jobs require you to do 5+ missions before the job is complete i.e building a bridge and rail. It may ask for coal, then ore, then steel bars, then wooden planks etc all lasting 1 hour. As said above if your combined train capacity (for 4 trains) is 60, yet it wants 100 pieces, you will be waiting a good 2 hours just to complete mission 1 before you can do mission 2. 5 missions could mean 10hrs of waiting just to complete that job. Furthermore as others have also said, it’s just tedious. It’s repetitive. And nothing changes.

  • Nice if you mostly like watching trains go around

This game is the best train game I've tried, but it has all the same giant flaws of most mobile games.

    1. The tutorial mode goes on way too long, with a colossally annoying man and giant pointing finger blocking me from actually paying. I don't know what age group they are targeting here or if they just think we are all dumb as posts, but this has goes on for way too many levels.

    2. The game itself is entirely pointless. There are no win conditions and seemingly no end point. We are asked to fill order after order for character after character. Filling the order doesn't make them go away, they just pop back up asking for more. For me, the minor achievement of finally finishing the characters last order is immediately squashed when he or another character just pops up in another place with another long list of orders.

Bottom line - if you are trying this because you loved Railroad Tycoon on PC, you will be disappointed. It isn't at all freeform like that. We don't get to build track or place stations or decide where to deliver what. Time for a delivery is fixed for each destination, regardless of which locomotive we use. Trains will carry cargo only one direction and either go out or come back empty. We are just filling orders from a job board list. The transport could just as well have been ships or helicopters or trucks or mules.

  • Latest update March 4, 2020

I was having fun this latest update did something the app will not open this sucks thanks for the update 😡
  • Awful Progression

Personally there’s no real motive for this game. All your doing is sending out trains to get materials to make stuff and build stuff in return you get XP points to level up. Keys to collect and open up containers with trains that always repeats itself with a common train. Progression at first is ok then it gets to a real snail pace with some jobs taking an hour with very little trains and dispatchers your not getting anywhere.
I generally thought by the sound of the name your running a Train Station Simulator tycoon what ever sort of thing game. Unless u spend real money your not going to advance to higher levels. Spend your real money on a real train fare and take your family out during the weekends.
